Damn that's a lot of needles, now I'm picturing that scene in one of the Saw movies with a pit full of syringes, ugh.
Do they only have one type they give out? I would doubt they give you options to choose from. The ones I was indirectly getting from an exchange were 1cc maybe 28 or 29 gauge (looked huge next to my 31Gs) and had a longer needle, I don't know the length but maybe 3/4".
I don't think I will be using enough to make it worth exchanging since subway fare costs as much as 15 from a pharmacy I can walk to. The exchange in NJ this guy I knew also got neat little tubes of sterile distilled water and these little metal mixing caps plus latex tourniquets (which I find a pain in the ass).
*lol* I have enough used needles to fill up the pit they used in Saw.

And no, they don't just have 1 type they give out. Diabetics and other people who need needles for medicinal reasons use a wide variety of gauges, needle lengths, and volumes. At the exchange I go to, they have low 20's all the way up to 31. 28 and 29 are a bit bigger when compared to a 31, which is why I don't prefer to use any bigger than a 30 for IVing.
I think it's nice to get harm reduction supplies at the exchange because I go through it pretty quickly.
Im really lucky coz my local NSP(needle and syringe program) stores all kinds of micron filters, most people in other countries or states need to get them off the net or maybe you can write to a manufacturer and get them to send out to you.
You lucky fuck! Send me some! :D I'll pay for the postage!
Where in God's name do you live where you can get micron filters from an exchange?
