when to take adderall after taking tramadol

For immediate release tramadol it lasts 4-6 hours. Extended release tramadol can last 24+ hours.

If its IR I recommend you wait 12 hours just to be on the safe side and if its ER 36 hours.
 
Thank you Chromophobia! I appreciate your advice so much and they are both IR so I will just make sure to wait till the next day just to be safe. So if tramadol lasts 4-6 hours does that mean I can take another dose then? And if I wait an hour after taking the tramadol and its not helping much can I take one more then? I was trying to find this all over the web but all I kept finding was its half life or how much to take in one dose, not if I could add to that dose. Any help would be much appreciated, as is the advice you already gave. Thanks again.
 
No problem.

I really don't know what dosages of tramadol your taking, what your taking them for, or when your tomorrow is.

The most important thing is to keep at least 12 hours between your tramadol and adderall dose.
 
Well my tramadol dose 50mg pills and I take one every couple hours. A little more than I should but it helps to feel good all day. I'm on them because I sliced my finger to the bone. By tomorrow I just meant any tomorrow after I take the tramadols. Once again thank you for the response.

In my experience, tramadol's effects (IR) can last up to about 8 hours. I'd wait 12 hours before redosing after a full dose. For tramadol, working your way up with the dose is more effective because already having tramadol in your system will increase the metabolization of tramadol into O-desmethyltramadol for the next dose you take. (O-DT is a far more potent chemical than tramadol with far more mu-agonism, about ~10% of the tramadol is converted to O-DT in the liver.)

So if I were to take maybe half a pill wait like 45 minutes and then take a whole pill it would be more effective?
 
I'd wait 24 hrs because tramadol has an intermediate Half life which means the ultram will stick around in your body longer and so does its metabolite. The reason it is bad to take the two together is because they both release serotonin and both increase norepinephrine levels. This means the two could causs a fatal and sudden effect called serotonin syndrome. The norepinephrine combo would also make you feel squirny and over stimulated, it won't be fun. Also both reduce the seizure threshold meaning it is very likely you could experience a grand mal seizurr. Also amphetamines are a substrate of the liver enzyme 2D6 which is the same enzyme thT metabolizes tramadol into the good shit o desmethyltramadol which accounts for the main opiate effects of tramadol. The amps will effectively clog this enzyme and as a result your body will notl produce odesmethyltram
at an optimal level

Those are multiple reasons to wait a good day before taking either one. If you take addy, wait a day to take tram, and if you take tram wait a day before addy.

That is really good information and helps me really understand it. Thank you so very much. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain that for me.
 
Yup! I wish someone explained it to me before I took tramadol and had a grand mal seizure it was the scarriest moment in my life. I was someone what awake and remember it. Multiple colors were flashing like a rave, I was convulsing, and I was having a flash back I saw my life flash before my eyes.

Please be careful with tramadol, don't exceed 200mgs, the FDA put the cap at 400mg a day, but I know many people who seizures at 200 and 300

The day of my seizure I had 250mg tramadol, 1shot of vodka, and weeds.

I hope you take my advice seriously because this is your life we are talking about!
