When MDMA is used responsibly...

Hi everyone,

I've been on this forum for a while now and most 'bad' MDMA stories I've read are about people who went on binges, sometimes for years, and came out the other end with depression/brain damage/etc. Then there's the stories of the MDMA-enthusiasts who use it just a bit too much a bit too often and have since started to 'lose the magic' and probably also built a tolerance to the drug.
Plenty of advice has been given to these people and even though it's different for everyone, it is generally accepted by all x-users that if you 'abuse' the drug, you will later be confronted with the consequences.

These days, pill users assume that using MDMA once every 1.5/2 months, max 200mg and preferably not redosing is the way to 'safely' use MDMA (this is a rough estimate, it is of course different for everyone depending on sex, age, build, etc).
What I've been wondering is how true this is. I consider myself a responsible user, and have always stuck with the rules mentioned above. All of my MDMA experiences so far have been good (have been using it sparingly for a year now) and I have never had a hangover.

But, will this kind of MDMA use eventually take its toll as well or will I be able to use it this way for another 2 decades so to speak? How safe is it really? Will I eventually build a tolerance anyway? Will the 'magic' eventually go, despite sticking to the rules?
Maybe there are some of you out there who have also stuck to these rules but still have noticed a change in how well they handle the drug, or noticed their hangovers were getting increasingly bad, etc. And maybe there are people who have used MDMA 'responsibly' for a fair amount of time but noticed that it is still as good as the first time?
I wonder what other people's opinions are on the matter!

Sounds like your use is pretty responsible. Is it sustainable for two decades? We don't know. The drug affects different people in different ways.

It sounds like you are doing it right.
MDMA has not been around for THAT long, so I guess our generation is the Guinea Pig in the experiment. Who knows, it could take 60 years for something 'bad' to happen or a negative side effect to show.

But I will tell you this, I think it is worth it. Especially when taken responsibly (like you say you are doing). "Who wants to be 90 anyway?"

I think MDMA is a wonderful substance, and I think it is a shame that it is looked down upon by society because of the people who abuse it and take it irresponsibly.

Well.. it was invented in 1913.

I would say you're mostly safe OP. No use is ever safe, but you're taking proper breaks and allowing yourself to heal properly after every roll, there should be little to no worry. I would aim at 60 days in between rolls at the least. That's about how long it takes the enzyme TPH to recover after a good roll. 45 days at the least, and if you go under that make sure to have a full 3 month break next time.

This kind of use is sustainable for a LONG time. Eventually as you get older and have already rolled in the past, you may lose a bit of interest in the same experience every few months... but I don't think you'd ever "lose the magic" at that rate. It's extremely unlikely you'd even get a tolerance, you're rolls should be almost as magical as the first every time.

Keep doing what you're doing, man. You'll do great

Also, I do hope you are testing your pills though. While MDMA can be very safe if used responsibly, we have NO IDEA is piperazine or MDPV can.. so be extra vigilant and test EVERY pill or capsule you get, anytime ever.

I read recently that tests have shown that low-dosing MDMA before your big trip day prepares the receptors against "burn" and mitigates the effect. Also pre-dose with piracetam, and anti-oxidants. I use it for interior contemplation and shamanic travelling, increases my inner compass and sensitivity to information downloaded. But still, it has somewhat faded over the years. Or it is more likely that I live closer to the MDMA state now and don't have such a big variation between baseline and high anymore.

i used to roll pretty frequently like once every month to month and a half and did pretty good ammounts but only over the course of one night. now i only do when i go to shows and very infrequently but i feel like i have lost the magic i still do have fun but its not like the amazing times i seemed to have before. i dont know if its cause im hipping myself up so much for the shows and am disappointed if they are not amazing or im just not rolling as hard as i used to
