When did you first start using drugs? Age?

how old were you when you first started using drugs?

New user here, first post..wooo!

Like most people I would have cut my teeth on alcohol and weed in secondary school. Eventually progressing through to amphetamines and acid in my "goth" days. Pills substituted a lot of the acid as I became more involved in a lot of darker dance music.

Nowadays with a higher disposable income but less of the acquaintances I find myself more and more involved in salvia, K and pills. A lot of friends do coke regularly but I'm less inclined to touch it as the quality is terrible where I am.

I'm very interested in psychedelics and RCs though as after having a few enforced years off due to a herculean acid trip that left me a bit the worse for wear. I'm healthy again and having weaned myself back in the saddle with Salvia keen to try a lot of what I have been missing out on.
 
tried/and loved pot at 23, 25 tried/loved ecstacy and coke. love e, coke is once in awhile when we need to clean or organize something:)
 
Shitty soapbar at.. 14 (maybe 15??). Tried amphet at 17, decent weed at 17.. then it all got a bit nuts.
 
I began at 17, the age fuckin' up the bell curve thar. Started with alcohol, weed, salvia--lulz. At 18 I began with some "natural" psychs, mushrooms & MG seeds. Once I matured a bit and turned 19 I started delving into LSD and also tried a slew of RCs and eventually pharms. To be honest, if it wasn't for a few open minded individuals sharing their drug-induced insights with me during junior year gym class, I may have stayed sober far longer.
 
I did drugs in high school, smoked weed, tripped on acid, even some coke now and then but I still voted 28 because that is when I started doing heroin and that is what changed my life.
 
i was either 12 or 13 when i first smoked weed - voted 13. i didnt touch anything besides weed, alcohol and prescription cooeine up until the age of 18 when i started experimenting with mdxx pills and methamphetamine and then onto opiates and benzos soon after

I didn't try anything until I was 20 .... I tried weed but it wasn't my thing. Used mdma shortly thereafter, and that habit continued for about 2 years. During that time, I also used coke and tried lsd, g, and k (all only once!). Guess I am not with the majority for getting such a late start lol!
 
14. started out with adderall. then hydrocodone. then MDMA, lots, and lots of it. then finally weed. then i discovered oxy. woops!
 
15- opiates.. went through about 500hydro/oxy pills over the summer. fell in love with drugs right away. turned 16 at the end of the summer... 3 months later smoking weed every day.
 
started smoking weed when i was 15. a lot of the other kids on my highschool basketball team smoked weed and i wanted to fit in so i gave it a try. used to sneak out behind the school in the woods and get high with a couple of the other players before practice sometimes. good times... good times..

15 adderall
16 cigs / alcohol
19 coke / salvia
20 mdma / benzos / lsd

haven't tried anything new recently. not that that's intentional, I just don't have the connects some of you lucky bastards have.
 
I used prescription drugs around age 15 or so like SSRIs and Adderrall and Vicodin, but didn't know they got you high and I always took them as directed. It wasn't until 17 that I started trying recreational drugs and getting drunk and smoking cigarettes. I am now 22 and have tried most drugs at least once, gone through alot of them in a relatively short time. I went right into the hard drugs though, or I started with weed, but tried hard drugs like cocaine and crystal meth if they were offered cause I was ready and willing to try whatever after weed and such. Heroin and cannabis were my favorites overall of the drugs i've tried.
 
i started smoking at 14

smoked daily since 16 and started using drugs (because i found some lol)

now im 17
 
When I was young, me and my brother Joe (ages 11 and 9 -- late 70's early 80's) would catch our brothers Jeff and Chris doing drugs (ages 17 and 19). Well they would make us do the drugs so then we couldn't run to mom and tell on them. I did my first line of coke when I was 11. Got drunk when I was 9, pills, weed, opium, hash about 11....etc. Now at 38 I'm a heroin addict and Joe died from Heroin in 2006 at age 33.

I love all my brothers. Just wish me and Joe hadn't been so nosey. Chris and Jeff feel bad about it all to this day.
 
I was 14 the first time I ever drank enough beer to get a buzz, so that is the age I voted for in the poll. I think I also smoked pot for the first time that year, but that never really became a habit.

I did not develop my opiate affinity till my early 30s, and my addiction till many years after that. I always was a late bloomer! :)
