I started smoking weed, drinking, and doing nitrous when I was 18, pretty much right around my high school graduation. Didn't start anything else until my second semester of Freshman year, but I was still technically 18 then I guess lol. I'm really glad that I waited until then to start doing anything, though, I think I wouldn't have been mature enough to handle it while still maintaining my good grades and all of the activities I was involved in that helped get me into the amazing school that I go to now. I had a crazy wild summer before going to college and I learned a lot about drugs during this time and tried to stay informed and learn about what's out there and what's safe and what's not etc. so by the time I started trying other things I like to think I was fairly safe about it, always wanted to make sure I knew what I was putting in my body and always making sure not to let my drug use come before school.
Smoked my first joint the summer before fourth grade, 8 or 9, don't feel bad. My first hit of LSD was around 12, first opiate painkillers at 13, adderall here and there, lots of cocaine & alcohol by 14-16. This is also the time I tried heroin for the first few times, although I didn't start habitually using dope until bout 22-23. Mushrooms first time 15, meth first time 15. First time I was scripted pain killers (besides dental work) I was 15. First benzo script I was 17.Either 10 or 11, I'll just vote 11 to make me feel better... it was definitely elementary school, like 3rd grade maybe. My brother got me into smoking weed so young it's actually quite disgusting. Sometimes I wonder how my life would have been different had I been an only child. Probably similar, as addiction runs strong in my family, but I'm sure I would've done a bit more growing up before delving into psychoactives.
