whats your plant nemesis

lol, wut? :P

Ah. Those data are more recent than I've seen, and I would be VERY surprised if the beneficial effects of cannabinoids were to somehow 'cancel out' most of the harms of inhaling smoke (in fact, I was surprised by the study that found this to be the case with lung tumors). It looks like I might be wrong about the nitty-gritty of the immunological effects, but I think that to assess behavioral relevance, in vivo, epidemiological evidence is necessary, and here, it is tough to analyze out smoking vs. cannabinoids. Still, this presses a bit beyond my level of competence.

I am probably stating the obvious here, but the immune system is such an intricate and sophisticated system. It could well be that all of the immunological adverse effects are more or less idiosyncratic - although I am not perfectly sure if idiosyncratic is the right term in this case. It is probably impossible to have 10,000 people taking an immunosuppressive without anyone experiencing paradoxical or idiosyncratic adverse effects, since no one has the same immune system and we all carry a different load of commensal and opportunistic gut flora. Even if you would use 10,000 clones for the experiment, they would all have a different immune system - although inheretible susceptibility to auto-immune disease etc will be comparable.

Recall/response bias, selection bias and confounding is another bitch when it comes to epidemiological research of any drug, and cannabis in particular.
- This is mainly because cannabis is a typical drug to use in your years as a teenager and the years after that, but eventually a large part of the users will seize their smoking habits. This years are also the years in which the immune system is at it's peak, so where the intrinsic risk of an adverse immunologic effect is small. I believe this is selection bias, but I am not sure. Never had much liking for learning all kinds of bias by heart...
- Then there is recall/response bias...people parttaking in an epidemiological study will not make the connection between past cannabis smoking and immune function, or are inclined to give morally acceptable answers so are less likely to report past cannabis use - which in turn creates a systemic bias since smokers with immunological effects end up in the non-smokers group, but not vice versa.
- Lastly, there is the nightmare of confounding... Cannabis is generally used with tobacco (confounder no. 1); cannabis users tend to have a more liberal view on other substances of abuse so are more likely to parttake in using these substances too (confounder no. 2); cannabis users are largely from an age group in which alcohol consumption is typically higher than average (confounder no. 3; although this might not hold in the US since the age limit is 21...but I don't think that is holding the youngsters back much...).

youre speaking of my life, and i came to post a silly flower.
my left thigh can be describes as either, flaking linch meat, or muscular fibrosis since my last injection of Humira 5-6 weeks ago now... after every 10 days for around 2 years.
Remicade, is trying to destroy me with wasting, and insane constant rib and scapula pain.
most any med throws me off somehow, but i really need TNF immuno suppressants... or some sort of massive immuno suppressant; Bee pollen is being researched heavily as a wipe-out, isolating carcinogenic-adenoma seeker and sucker...

please pleeease pm me dude, if you have any info on what im talking about, i know a lot about the shit already, but from asking,,, in many situations like this i find astounding info to keep.

Edit:
with my elevated immune system, and the immune system crashes that take their toll as well, it has been advised that i take cannabis to help regulate my immune system by numerous doctors, all in different fields, as much as possible.
its a powerful anti-inflammatory medication, i have auto-immune gastritis - ant acids will never help, but marijuana does fast by rerouting my WBC's away from my digestive system, and RBC's, and on and on.
it seems, to have some affect on cytokynes as well.

just ask and know??

right----

my lovely-ish haha, Noble Drenobium...
i tried to divide this many months ago, i failed.
i studied, and felt as confident as possible; i do have a green thumb, a steady hand, and sharp blades... but maybe should of really soaked the root ball more prior, as the other half snapped away, with one lousy root on it! hah.
a sad pathetic sight. ahaha

it stayed a live a while, but dropped out.
this one,,, has stayed growing and has instead of making amazing smelling flowers, made two new, saddles? is the term?... @any rate;
new little growths as the do in the jungle up in the misty tree canopy! the roots you can see are stretching out and white, ive been occasionally spraying, and using ThriveAlive 1-1-1 every now and then, 2ml per 3L + venesse, .3-.1-.01.

i feed the thing, and it does what it wants, my name is not "Seymour" suddenly! lol-
your alien sprouts will not attack my other lovely plants!

go buy an ordchid!
i have 2, now 4! :D a great $35 or w/e spent near a year ago???... they are the easiest plant to keep looking amazing, but, then as you see here, IME, the challenge comes later but is pure exciting anticipation.
:-X

Coriander :(

^ :O me too, I'm really not a fan of corriander leaves but love the seeds (toasted in curries etc).

I loathe psyllium seed husks too, not sure if that counts for this thread? They're plant-based? The taste makes me gag.
