In my defence - this became a dear song to me as it consoled me though my first ever breakup! (I was a pre-teen ok!) I don't actually listen to it, but if I ever happen to hear it then I kinda guiltily enjoy!

Holy shit I was devastated! Who knew you could fall in love (infatuation?) that young? Felt like I was fukkin dying when she dumped me for Peter Jackson (yes 'mate' I can still remember your damn name and yeah, it was me who butchered your brand new pricey football with a knife some weeks later - bro's not ho's bitch! , not that I'm still bitter or owt...) Cunt!

 
ah ok, so I was told by my old's years ago that this song was the first song (just the chorus apparently) I ever sung (I'm a prolific and occasionally compulsive crooner), which would explain why I seem to sink into ol' Tom's voice on the (admittedly rare) occasions I hear this little ditty
