Whats YOUR career path?

Literally no idea. I'm a Biology student, wanted to do medicine, but I'm not sure now, nothing seems to interest me. I'm sort of exploring nursing, becoming a paramedic or pursuing further education after my degree. Right now I'd love some part time work because I need the experience and money, but it's a vicious cycle - without experience, I'm not getting any jobs (in a big student city where a lot of people have some experience), but how do I get experience?

I hate this.. fucking bullshit. Catch 22. And then when you graduate you find most of the graduate jobs require previous experience also.. so basically those already in the industry can take those jobs, with a cut to their own pay. Everyone loses, except the business. And maybe your bank balance (if you have one) if you end up doing an internship to gain that experience. Ridiculous.

I believe that being an intern, for no longer than few months, is maybe the first step to post your previous experience and have more chances in the next job application.
But if you have kid(s) or have to pay pension that won´t work at all.

Other than that, I do some volunteer work, but I'm not sure that's really related to my career.

What I'm doing is completing a year long course to work in the lab at the hospital taking blood that type of stuff then once I get into the hospital with this job I'll continue my education while working there. Then I have an inn to apply there once I complete the courses I want to do at med school to move up further. I also want to get out of the physical job I'm in now since I'm in pain everyday so I chose to complete this lab tech course to get out of the forestry industry and get into the environment I want to be in.

Many I talk to seem to think its a good idea and if I show them my attitude, fast ability to learn and work ethic then when I have my degree its almost certain I'll get a job as an MD locally. (If that's still what I want to do in medicine in the future who knows maybe I'll find something else that interests me while working in the hospital).
