Come share what job you;ve got, any experiences or jobs you've loved

ATM im a line cook at a resteraunt, and plan on enlisting in the service in about 6 months after completing G.E.D Prep courses, then recveiving my G.E.D

What about you guys? :)

I do bar-tending at nightclubs (usually gay venues), why? Well to be honest it's the only job where you can drink and do as many drugs as you want and get paid for it. Doing ecstasy/speed/acid while having a few vodka+red-bulls and serving drinks is awesome. I choose gay venues because they're more fun, people are insanely friendly, and drug use is rampant and non-taboo, in fact one I used to work at would serve LSD+MDMA in a punch bowl to the customers, lol. Will hopefully get a proper job in science when I finish my degree in a couple of years, but until then this is a good way of making money as a student and having fun at the same time. Plus it allows you to get really fit (a 12 hour shift is an EPIC workout).

You also meet some really bizarre and cool people, ie: some minor celebrities (such as Leo Sayer, Molly Meldrum), a Queen's Counsel with an unlimited amount of high-grade cocaine because he's the lawyer to the bikie gangs and gets it straight from the source, and a kindergarten teacher who always dresses as a bumble-bee and hands out acid to everyone.

Needless to say I fear the idea of 9-5.

Heh this board on the forum is pretty dead - not many posters in here, unfortunately :(

Lot of summer jobs before college. Wash dishes at a family owned restaurant right now. Currently a senior switching my major in accounting to psychology b/c it is my passion. Sounds like a big jump but a minor is required in psychology at Texas State so I'm already finished with my minor in business administration. Only 34 more hours to go for BA. But unfortunately 18 years of school won't be the end. . .

Planning on moving to Austin and getting a job there. I plan on studying for my masters in psychology so I can be a counselor to help others with their struggles with life, and ultimately I have the opportunity to be my own boss which is a huge plus.

If that all works out and my GPA is good enough and feel like I can suffer through more school then I will shoot for a PhD in psychology. But this option is probably a little over 3-4 years away. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Right now? Im 19 not really goin anywhere with college (no motivation, view it as pointless, etc) so i have decided to enlist in the army when i get off of probabation when im 21. After that, idk, either reenlist, learn a trade, or suck it up and finish college w/ the money i can get from the GI bill.

I work in payroll. My hours are kind of crazy since it's not a typical payroll position (well it's 50% payroll and 50% random office admin stuff). I wish I just got normal 9-5 hours Mon-Fri since then I'd get my weekends off to party and do normal weekend things. But I work a lot (well ... some) weekends. Mostly Sundays.
I really love my job though. It's exciting (you may wonder how payroll is exciting but it really is!). I'm just hoping for the promotion that will give me more of a regular schedule (aka Mon-Fri 9-5 with only a few exceptions). Hopefully that comes soon anyway.
I'm taking payroll courses so I can actually have some education background in payroll, not just office stuff. Hopefully will finish my first certification in a year or a year and a half (just started it a month ago).
Also work in the adult industry, online amateur adult work, just as a bit of extra money.

So yeah ... that's what I do :)

I worked in a factory all of last summer and got pretty nice pay for someone my age at the time. I plan on studying computer science at university, but I'm teaching myself organic chemistry at home. Depending on what I end up doing, my job will either be based on chemistry or computing, my 2 favourite subjects.

Been working loads of small jobs for the past few years, done with that. Thinking of moving on to software testing as a proper career now, I think it'll work well with my analytical mind and plus I have connections in that industry. It's more of a - I don't know what else to do - move though as I've always been one of those people that doesn't have any idea what I truly want to be doing with my life.

Currently 21 years old. High School drop out, got my GED 2 years ago though. Not much of a resume and I come from a poor family so College is a dream for me some day. Currently I work for a Sprinkler Systems company. We have clients all over the 5 boroughs, residential and commercial, though we seem to have more commercial than residential. I've been learning how to install the systems, install the clocks (timers) and lay the pipe and what not. It's all very simple but it's a business that is in constant demand so it's good money and it's a good trade to know. I've having fun with it, though it's seasonal due to the Winter, but I'll start up again in the Spring. Very much looking forward to learning more and more and eventually getting a raise and being able to go to jobs and installs all on my own.

so far only way i have made money is waiting tables... which is shitty but can be decent money
about to grad college and its scary cuz i dont know.... but i want to use my degree <3

I was a pothead in junior/primary and secondary school, always went in baked (<Foolishly) so i left with just a few low C's and mostly D's.
Went to college to study fabrication and welding, currently doing it now on a level 1 along with retakeing the ones i failed (Got d's in)
Looking to go to out on some rigs, or go around the world.
My Dad used to earn £400 a day sometimes out in places like Greece for doing a days work of welding
(Includes all types of welding, MMA TIG gas cutting platework and so on)
Going for a level 3/apprentice or as said, straight in for a job.

current -> sales and purchasing manager -> retail manager -> Regional Manager/Corporate Trainer

welders make good money in the oil patch. if you are an underwater (dive certified) welder, you can make hella good money working on offshore oil platforms..

Aye, one of the main reasons i chose it... Never know, whatever work i can get I'll take (The one being the best pay/hours if multiple choices) so could be doing anything to do with welding, rigs... ships, scrapyard or underwater :3
That and my cousin also does it, so made me want to do it more... i look up to him :P (hes only like 3 years older though lol, but very successful)
