What's worst about the USA

Having just done the quiz as an 'American' I can say that the quiz is easier for them! And there is a question about Africa for them: where is Libya?

And on second thoughts one of their questions is wrong. According to them the word running is a particle. To be exact it is a present particle but one of the other answers is also correct. You can use running as an adjective as in 'running joke'.
 
What i hate most about america would have to be those T-shirts they've got people wearing here that say 'new york' on them n shit like that, im so sick of them!

harry rerun the test same questions are shuffled for US and non US, but I agree the questions are a pile of poo anyway.

And i soooooo hate that the US gov thinks that the rest of the world should move to their beat of the drum. But then on the other hand, i also dont like the French, and the... ;)

I think the problem with USA is that they were colonized by a bunch of religious zeolots and other nuts, that noone wanted in Europe. ;) Therefore their wackiness must lay in their genes or something.

Edit: I forgot that the two most annoying things about usa are:
1. They don't use the metric system
2. They measure temperature in Fahrenheit instead of Celsius.

Why can't they switch to the reasonable systems used by the rest of the world instead of using a temp measurment where 96F is defined as the temp of Fahrenheits wifes blood!

The land that style forgot!

On a recent trip I was amused and rather worried by the following;

1 MULLETTS!!! Oh my god that weird hairstyle that went out ini the 70's is big...very big! and on the Women too!

2 Droopy moustaches! Again sighted frequently, and on what may have genetically been female!

3 The improper use of the word LIKE & SO.. "Yeh He was like so cute, and Oh thats just so you" Drives me fucking barmy, if your going to steal somebodys language at least learn how to use it first!!!

4 Every club I went to was like something that went out of the London scene about 10 years ago! And they still call them DISCOS!

5 Las Vegas is about sin city as watford. I was there for some time, and whilst looking for the alleged existence of my fave chems (purely for documentary evidence) in all the right places (eg Clubs, DJ's and musicians etc) the closest I got was being offered some 'Reefer' Arghh theres another one what the fuck is reefer? Its a fabricated place, theres more sin in any UK town on Friday night!

6 and finally.... The term ROLLING! Just shut the fuck up, you wouldn't know good Little fellas if they hit you. And then you would be like so fucking loaded man, yeh like I rolled balls for hours man just on 1/15th of that pill some college guy gave me!

Or how about before you post you say how many americans you know and why you hate them. I willing to bet half you havent been to america but instead rely on our meda to tell you how awful it is. For fucks sake racism in any form is fucking horrible.

That's a bit presumptuous isn't it? I'm sure almost everyone who's posted in this and the "best things about America" thread have some experience of the US and it's citizens.

I dont frequent the site so regularly, but Ive been a member since 2000. I am from the states, but currently live in Denmark. Please tell me if my behavior is bad because I try to be very open-minded, compromising and generally nice. But, I know what you are saying. We have too many children on bluelight in the states.

but, here is what is worst about america:
-lack of social welfare system
-fast food (down with mcdonalds)
-obesity
-most bars and clubs close at 2-3 (the party is just getting started)
-the drinking age is 21 (im 22, so I can drink, but that is bullocks)
-do i need even mention the bush family?
-im sure there is plenty more, but i have other things to do with my time :)
 
do you know what...this might sound awful...but i feel like i've said everything i feel about the US government soooooooooooooooooooooo damn much, over and over again and now i just can't even be bothered...and that's a horrible place to be...but where does all the talking actually get us...it hasn't changed anything...

^^and this is a really bad attitude for me to have!! :p
 
Here i will throw out my view. I was born, raised, and still live in America. I have never been out of this country. But I have lived in several states. And let me tell you that most of you are right. Living 50 miles away is like night and day. I lived in Baltimore and found it to be one of the worst places I had ever been let alone lived. The people there are the most selfish people you can imagine. Greedy as hell. They are your best friends while you can benefit them and then as soon as thier is nothing else in it for them, they will spit on you before you've even had a chance to see what happened. A few miles away in Annapolis where I lived as well, 180 degrees different. I had a woman stop and offer to help ME change my tire!!!! In Baltimore people would try to hit me or throw stuff at me on the side of the road. America is fucked up but that's the price you pay for freedom. You can have anything you dream of in America, but don't expect help, your on your own. Anybody know of any places to live that are laid back, particularly with very friendly people. I would love to get out of this country. Shit is so wierd here that I havent spoken to my best friend in 2 months. And we live 2 blocks away and we got along perfect. WTF!!!
 
At the risk of sounding cliched, some of my best friends are American. Their country, however, is a different kettle of fish... too bloody conservative by half and too much crap, bad for you food. That is all.
 
the prevailing view here seems to be an entirely reasonable one - that americans, for all their faults, are generally lovely people just like us, but that their government is fucked.

now that's why it's so insulting when blair dismisses our concerns as 'fashionable anti-americanism'. there's nothing anti-american about wishing that the good people who inhabit the country weren't governed by corporate blood-stained special interest military-industrial fuckwits - if anything, i'd say that's pro-american. i've studied america for a long time, and what's happening now is a travesty of the very principles upon which it was founded.
