it's a masterpiece.

whole cast was great and sean penn was incredible.

alasdair
overlook this many times as i didnt think it worth the time. giess thats called prejudice, ikn idc. ;)
will reassess and watch it later (or as much as possible).

Upon reflection, I still feel my original thoughts to be valid regarding One Battle After Another; however, the film has stuck in my mind and I’m starting to have divergent thoughts about it.

Perhaps it will age better for me with time.

It definitely left some impression.

Rewatching Blossi 810551. Great Icelandic movie and very nostalgic for me. I first saw this on late night tv years ago in the late 90's or early 2000's. This movie made me want to visit Iceland lol

Just watched this. I think i see parts of it on TV years ago as it kind of looked familiar. Not a great movie imo

I saw it twice and appreciated it in different ways. Loved it from the start but second time you get to absorb the subtle things more. I'm already wanting to see it again. Hopefully it'll be on Netflix or hbo soon .

I watched a screening of trick r treat at my local theater Tuesday night. Awesome being able to see one of my favorites on the big screen. Barely Caught demon slayer infinity castle today on its last day.

Yeah when it’s available for rental on Amazon or something I plan to watch it with my wife and see what she thinks and how I feel the second time.

I watched Out of Africa again two nights back, really enjoyed it. Always do.

I’m psyched to know that a 4K UHD release is coming out right around my birthday along with Eyes Wide Shut. Already got both preordered.

A House Of Dynamite - Kathyrn Bigelow 2025

Been waiting for this for months as I am a fan of Ann Jacobsion's book Nuclear War(which this film crosses paths with, not adapts). It focus's more on the huan character study side of things as opposed to the real technicalities but reaches the same conclusion, our (as in Nato's) counter measures are shit and we are fucked. The film is a triptych, with the countdown repeating from different perspectives while the layering advances the story Rashomon-style. Love Rebecca Ferguson in everything so that was always going to be a win.

4/5

I have just joined Netflix and this is the first film I have started watching, only 20minutes in but paused it to cook some food and pop on the news and also to catch up/vent on here, good thing with Netflix i can pause and go back to where I was last watching a film, which is great as usually no matter how great the film is, I still like to pause it and do something else and then get back to it like reading a novel that you can put down but still be satisfied even without finishing in one go, i look forward to returning to the house of dynamite in the day after my morning gym session and post workout breakfast 🙏💙

Color out of Space - 2019

I was half way through an acid trip when this movie came on and I was pleasantly surprised. Really cool movie, and a real visual treat on acid.

This instantly became one of my favorite movies.

ATTEMPTED to watch Emelia Perez...1 star...how the ever living FUCK did this thing get like 14 Oscar nominations??! It's SO BAD. Not even so bad it's good, just awful

Not a movie, but the first episode of IT: Welcome to Derry - watched it the same night and had the opposite reaction to Emelia Perez. 5 stars. Loved it and that cinema scene at the end went in a direction I think 99% of us would never have guessed.
