🌟🌟 Social 🌟🌟 What's the last film you saw? v. Why doesn’t Peter Jackson wear shoes?

The Others

Got the 4K release and forgot how good this was. Simple story with a good twist. I didn’t see it coming which was a surprise. Definitely recommend.

The good thing about drugs is I don't see a lot of film twists coming. This always shocks me when I've seen the film before.

Totally Killer

Wow what a great time travel slasher flick! I know there’s been a lot of reviews saying it’s average and not worth the hype but really enjoyed it. Reminded me of Happy Death Day but a more simple version of it.

Felt really fresh and a fun concept - hope to see more in this new sub genre of horror.

Last Mission Imposiblle or: Dead Reckoning Part one- not bad but, Fallout was better,
or to put it's predictable and same pattern almoste as No Time To Die, first gadgets and old flames, than driving through Rome, or any narrow streets EU city centre which are all the same.

I'm waiting for Dune part two as I read the book the other day, bought all 6 of them for now will watch the film than will read Messiah.
Inland Empire was good
Inception, Interstellar,
and Sunshine-Danny Boyle as someone recomended or I saw a list for K or MXE movies and let me tell you it is awsome made with great cinematography and picture, music, ambience just for psychs or dissos who loves space at least.

i'm a huge fan of danny boyle and sunshine is definitely my favourite of his films. the concept, cast, visuals and sublime score by underworld all add up to a powerhouse of a movie.

and event horizon is a great suggestion mal. i saw it on the big screen at the empire, leicester square once and it was overwhelming.

The Mean One

Cool wee Christmas Horror released in October.

The horror version of The Grinch basically with a lot of killing throughout which was quite interesting to say the least.

Check it out if you can.

3.5/5

The bad:

You Are So Not Invited to my Bat Mitzah: Adam Sandler comedy about Jewish teenagers. Not all that funny.

The so-so:

The Devil's Offering aka The Offering: An occult horror movie based in a Hasidic Jewish community. The setting was novel and it started out genuinely unnerving. Like a lot of horror movies, it proceeded to show too much and the scary atmosphere was deflated.

The good:

The Place Beyond the Pines: Drama starring Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper. Great acting across the board, unique storytelling style. Touches on police misbehaviour and its consequences.

Insomnia: Crime drama directed by Chris Nolan starring Al Pacino and Robin Williams. It's a poignant exploration of a cop dealing with the fallout of having broken the rules for what he thought was a worthy cause.

Melancholia: Lars von Trier's tragicomedy about depression and the end of the world. It's beautiful, funny, and while quite dark, there's a sense of triumph for the star (Kirsten Dunst) as the conditions of her environment transform into something she, ironically, is better fit to deal with.

The excellent:

Nocturne: It's rare that I find a gem like this just scrolling through Netflix or Prime. It's a horror movie which mixes the occult with arts prep school. The score and lead actress were particularly impressive.

Typical fare from Paramount+ when they resurrect a franchise for Halloween. Doesn’t add much to the first two but fresh to see David Duchovny in a horror. He should be in more horror.

Good last 10 mins though.

Sometimes dead is better.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem

Very heart warming and excellent flick. Fighting scenes on point and the music on point
Hopefully next film they’re a bit older but this was fucking brilliant. Footsoldiers next time maybe?

Not a Halloween film per se but I consider it is.

Loved it.

Dead Man on campus
I used to watch this stoned out of my box with my uni mates every night, and it always made us laugh so much. The innocent good old days on VHS :ROFLMAO:

Monsters of California

Enjoyed this fun little UFO flick from Tom DeLonge, could even be a series of films if done right. Teens and fans of Blink will eat this up I assume. Also I think a lot of Tom’s conspiracy ideas float up now and again (which doesn’t really affect the story much).

Music was good, some nice electronic stuff at the end as well.
