pip, try to have your "do what you feel like" festival. i doubt it will be as popular as my "do as we say" festival.

people should bring back the "nuts to..." turn of phrase quasi-curse. if i were prezdent....

The Future

was a miss for me. presents a lot of the same themes as Me and You and Everyone We Know, but i remember that movie being a lot less boring. this was too dorky.

i did like

just let me wait. i want to wait here forever, knowing that one day...

The front line, Gojijeon, not bad.

Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired

interesting and sad, though not the best documentary.

The Decedents

i saw this in the theatre with my parents before dinner. perfect movie for that scenario. it was a safe, fun, pseudo-sad film about death and family structure. had a jena malone, kstewe kind of girl.

Birdemic - Shock and Terror

Oh man, what is there to say about this miserable piece of garbage? Just, everything single thing about it is wrong - the acting, directing, editing, plot, script...all of it wrong. This movie isn't just bad, it's one of the most awful things I've ever seen. It makes The Room look like The Godfather. What's worse is that the director, James Nguyen, is completely serious about the integrity of this film...he even calls himself the "Master of the Romantic Thriller" (a phrase which he trademarked). I have never seen such a bad movie before...but then again, I haven't seen the sequel yet.

Just check out the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jE5dJDgZ644

That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. It's perfect for that Saturday night when you and your buddies are sitting around getting drunk and want to laugh your asses off. It's horrifyingly bad.

over a few days.. che parts 1 and 2
i love soderburg's editing and score generally. These were beautifully shot too.

I love that movie. What a tough guy Che was. Fighting a guerrilla war AND asthma. Crazy.

What I did was watch The Motorcycle Diaries first and then watch Che all in one epic sitting. It was interesting to see his transformation from adventurous doctor who was out looking for adventure to committed revolutionary.

"The Isle of Man Tourist Trophy is the greatest motorcycle road race in the world, the ultimate challenge for rider and machine. It has always called for a commitment far beyond any other racing event, and many have made the ultimate sacrifice in their quest for victory."

not a massive bike fan but just watched this and enjoyed it. fully recommend this, balls out riding, full on. some fucking amazing footage. along side the Senna documentary, this film is wicked, definitely worth a watch, even if your not a bike fan etc. hats off to the people that compete in this event. check it out

damn, freddy, that sitting must have been really taxing on you! i've been meaning to see motorcycle diaries since its theatrical release. will remedy upon my return home in feb.

^It was indeed L2R but very rewarding. It helped that that day it was pouring rain outside and I had nothing else to do for that entire day but smoke weed and watch movies. :)

I highly suggest watching The Motorcycle Diaries. You need to get on that ASAP. Its really cool to see where it all began.

the music never stopped.

effective heart warmer about a guy like the dude in memento. based on a true story, they say. recommended.

Just watched Ringu. One of the most boring films I've seen, don't understand what all the hype was about. Not scary at all except that scene near the end which was mildly creepy. Disappointed.
