What's Good on European and African TV v. Walking the Dead

If by Manics you mean Manic Street Preachers, yes, they are nuts. The Manics are very pretentious, but I like their early work. However, there are all those nutty devotees who believe that Richey ran away to a moon colony.

I thought the Walking dead was fairly decent this week, much better than the previous one anyway

... Homeland both shit again this week, altho the bird from homeland took 25i in episode before last hahaa 8(

Shit? I can't believe we appear to be on the same season. This one is the best one ever, I dunno what you're on about mate.

Just watched the most recent episode of "The Missing" on iPlayer - it just gets better and better. Watch it!

Tonight we will mostly be catching up with "The Fall" on iPlayer also, which is also great.

Just finished the fourth season of Boardwalk Empire. Muchly underrated series - gets precious few mentions here. One of the properly good ones though. One of few that's held momementum through four seasons straight and is looking forward to the fifth I'll be working through soonest.

If you've not seen it, gangster series (featuring actual oldskool tommygun gangbangers) but set in the 20s/30s and reeks of atmosphere. Steve Buscemi is just pure class in the main role and some corking characters run through it. Each series builds and is watchable alone but all fits into an overarching story nicely. Brilliant show <3

Watched seasons 1 and 2 of Boardwalk empire a few years ago, i agree, excellent series. Need to check out the rest. The sniper with half his face blown off springs to mind

Can't believe you've only just mentioned it - it's been one of our favourites right from episode 1.

The final, and sadly very short season, is completely amazing. The tagline is "No-one goes quietly", I think. You are in for a treat!

NO SPOLIERS!!!

Have been watching and have mentioned before but rarely gets a tug so saved it for season four when drama starts to tug in preparation for season five which I believe is to be the last and final.

Dan: 'Half-Face' Harrow is a brilliant character. Watch season four. Saying no more...

(other than watch season three first, obviously :p)

NO SPOLIERS!!!

I dunno what "SPOLIERS" means, so I'm just gonna tell you about the bit where that guy gets that thing done to him, and then this other unexpected thing happens, it's amazing. %)

p.s. Shambles sucks ;)

Well i hate the storying building slow shit, i guess homeland has been the better of the two in the last few episodes atleast, im re watching It's always sunny in Philadelphia, they did a good episode on MDPV lol!

well, The Missing started off very well but kind of fizzled away and went awry towards the end imo. I missed most of the 2nd series of Peaky Blinders :!, but the couple of epiosdes i did see looked good. That just leaves The Fall as the saviour of British TV. I havent started watching the 2nd series yet, the first was very good.

Otherwise i have to conclude that there's barely anything good on-European TV, (that's as in 'made in Europe' not just broadcast here, mostly it isnt on the terrestrial channels, so many people never get to see what they are missing) and the big quality American Blockbusters have just set the bar far too high for the Brits to ever stand a chance of competing on an equal footing, on the whole. I cant see the UK ever coming up with a huge multi serires, mega budget amazing tv series, of the likes of BB, Sopranos, Dexter, Homeland, The wire, TWD etc, Even though there's plenty of British actors in those series.

I s'pose David Attenborough is still delivering the goods, and other BBC wildlife programs and other documetaries are often very good, esp Louis Theroux ones. Documentaries seem to be the one thing the UK does well. Oh and Have I got News For You is about it, as far as current comedy goes.
