^ Come to my house! Ahahaha, doubt you want to do that many miles on your bike, at least at this point in the season. :P

No biking for me today unfortunately. Hopefully tomorrow.

Went down to the lake at 7:30, but it was sprinkling, the sun was behind the clouds, and the water was warmer than the air; went in up to my thighs and just stood there for 5 minutes, then drove home.

This made me smile for some reason. I can just picture that whole scene unfolding :)

nothing today!
lol

although yesterday, i had my briefly mentioned excursion; a four or so mile walk in an hour fifteen/twenty-five minutes - i then spent a couple of hours stretching pulling weeds and transplanting in my yard, and a neighboring empty house - i took the biggest steps i could slowly and intent-fully walking backwards for around 75yds twice haha (this felt really good actually) on the way back checking for mail.

i walked to a neighbors house, who is maybe a 1/3 mile to ask for rose or peonies 'clones', she laughed and said "too late! should of been here in april or early may dear-y" she thought it was pretty funny:-\ maybe 60y/o and has a thick smoky English accent which she plays into well, so it was hilarious...first time ive met her too -lol.
-- surprise! what are you doing back here?!? - my name is...
ahahaha
she said to come back in six days though,,, some peonies? IDK, but if so ill give a link to pics, as it will a hurried bit of exorcise.

im getting a bike,,, but we'll see.
ill just be doin some sunday riding every other day - hehe - it is a very meditative thing for myself, if i can find any value in riding at all it is that - which is near invaluable.

;-)

Yesterday: 30 min. bike 30 min. elliptical

Today: Same as yesterday :)

I don't think we'll have time to go to the gym tomorrow because we have to travel in the middle of the day out of town and of course the gym opens at noon. :\

Pip, it's awesome to hear that you're being active! Keep up the good work! You should totally get a real bike instead of a stationary--Real ones allow you to go places, even if it is just "sunday riding," lol. :P

Amor, do you utilize more than the bike and elliptical at the gym? I don't know how much either run (for a decent model), but think about the cost of your gym membership over time (and be sure to factor in the gas money and time to get there :P) and compare it with the cost of owning your own equipment. :)

Not sure what's on the agenda for today. It's beautiful out already though, so either a bike ride or a long walk is in order. I'm thinkin' both. Kind of want to go for a hike, but really should take somebody with me for that--And all my "somebody's" are occupied. 8)

Pick me, pick me, pick me! I'm off! However, you're probably sick of seeing me. :P

For father's day, I'm probably (if hiking is not in order [driving isn't an issue to me]) gonna go on an excursion (woahhhhhhhh, follow the yellow brick road!) into unknown territory. Feelin' the wind today!

the bike i have now was built from scrap parts by someone who knew what they were doing, the frame is some random generic mtBike frame - but nice sealed quick release rims "slip-hole" peddle straps - push button gears which took some getting used to; ive popped wheelies before off-road shifting going up-hill - haha;-D
the gears i priced at $350 and the rims were near the same new...got this bike for $3, again from a thrift store. the gears and rims are fine, but the frame is rusted out, from the years and being left out in a salty-sea-breeze for a couple of years...haha

this new bike is a '04 Giant Cyprus SX - ive been more comfortable with the stationary bikes recently, only because of the shape and actual current 'shaping' of me pelvis(my entire Sacrum is mashed) and consistent repetitive movement of my hips...the impact from walking or jogging isnt there though biking...

i see i can raise the 'flat-bar' handle bars with a ''bumper'', and will get a different seat soon - probably a different bike soon if im comfortable enough, something i can take off road in confidence. this will be fun though..!
:-D

i do know where there are wild orchids growing in the foot-hills behind me, all sorts of stuff to get off my but for this summer - i do believe.
;-)

Gym membership comes with my tuition so it'd be a big waste not to use it. I walk to it 90% of the time so it's not a gas issue. I sometimes use the indoor track and rowing machines as well. But you're question definitely reminds me I really need to start lifting again. :o :)

Oh, today: 30 min. bike, 20 min elliptical

2 hour kayak paddle

tomorrow I have a 4.6 miles hike planned after work with a few co-workers.

Duck.

Goose. sonix did the most exercise today, obviously. :P

Today: a hike down the Niagara Gorge trails, with an adventure finding a spot to hike down to the lower rapids! Probably about 4 miles altogether.
