We have salad with our deep fried pizzas and mars bars these days, we're healthy in Scotland now.

QFT

and we do low fat pies too now :o

haggis lite

baked chips (think they call them wedges)

mince and tatties with nae butter in the mash.

+ TABLET :D its well healthy, aint it boys ;)

I love tablet, the way it fluffs up and melts in your mouth. Can't eat a lot of it though, ever so slightly sickly.

And of course, macaroon! Possibly the world's only potato-based confection?

I had no idea macaroon was made from tatties but I don't eat it. Love tablet and fudge though, far too sickly and you can literally feel your teeth rot as you eat it as well as diabetes kicking in.

EDIT:
Apparently modern day Macaroon doesn't use tatties because of short shelf life. Now it's sugar, glucose, water and egg white.

The stuff you buy in the shop is no longer made with tatties but the traditional Scottish macaroon is indeed. I've only had the real stuff once, was very nice.

myself and son went to McDees for lunch and on the way home he tells me "im hungry". looks like beans on toast for his tea or a pasta dish.

Maccy Dee's are doing some sort of chorizo burger for one week only apparently, I fancy trying that.

There doesn't seem to be any substance to a mcdonalds burger. The bun is mostly air, the burger itself is tiny and they're a bit tight with the garnish. Plus you only get five chips nowadays.

McChicken Sandwich was always my favourite; crispy crumb-coated chicken, salad and mayonnaise. Great combination.

Next you'll be telling me cider doesn't count either. :sus:

Nachos followed by black rice salad and pasta in olive oil with basil and pine nuts further followed by pizza. Stuffed.

Have a bit of indigestion after making a "meaty" pasta bake.

Though didn't have much and he ate a mountain! Choritzo, Italian sausage and pancetta with peppers, mushrooms, onions, garlicy tomato sauce with wholewheat pasta, mozzarella puddles, parma-cheesyness crunch top. Salad leaves from the garden.

Too rich. I'd have been better off with a rib eye and those leaves.

Sounds tasty though Kate but a lot of read meat combined (and salt) with the heavy pasta and rich tomato sauce it's defo a good way to get indigestion / stomach ache. I'm still stuffed after my dinner. After eating the nachos and some of the pasta and rice salad things I was already full, then forced down 2 slice of pizza. Too much after the three butteries and sausages I had for breakfast / lunch.

Mugz you eat too much takeaway and fast food. Your stomach must hate you. When was the last time you consumed something healthy?

the pie and chips I had at 5am the other night in the hospital cafeteria was probably the most "real" food that I have had in a long time. You are right, and now I'm in a house with tons of cooking utensils I'm gonna try and cook some real meals for myself and my dad when he gets back on the 1st. I'll try some real meals on myself first before I subject my dad to any experimental cooking, lol. I have been known to make nice food though.

My body hates me when I eat nothing but shit food. Dunno how you can do it.
