Chris Brown ft. T-Pain - Kiss Kiss

I don't care if he's a woman beater as long as he keeps releasing songs like this.

Badly Drawn Boy - Have You Fed The Fish?

I've had a few BDB albums on my computer for a while but have been too lazy to convert the files to listen to them. I don't know why though, because I love him lots.

The keys to your heart open the door to the world
You've got to give me two days
And woman I'll make you a girl

I was originally disappointed with that album after the brilliance of his 1st, and the About A Boy soundtrack. But it grew on me.

Me....Tool - Lataralus. Had a conversation with a mate about Tool and their albums last night. It's between Aenima and this one for the best. I think Aenima by a nose.

The Wrens - This boy is exhausted

I'm so glad I finally got around to getting Meadowlands. It was recommended to me in one of those urgent 3am messages that noone takes seriously, but since then I've seen it pop up in so many magazine articles and indie 100 lists.

Anyway, this song sounds really familiar. It must've been on a TV show or something.

Empire of the Sun - Delta Bay

Every time I listen to this song I make up my own lyrics cos I never know what they are saying. It's a fun game.

Thom Yorke - Harrowdown Hill (The Bug Remix)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4tm8C9RNnk

From 'The Eraser: Remixes', a collection of 9 remixes from the album of the same name. Yes, a redundant explanation.

Somehow the remixes make the songs sound more dystopian and claustrophobic than the originals, especially with this track.

I wouldn't say it's an improvement, it just feels like something completely different. Only track that's an improvement is Burial's.

My new current favourite album of the moment.

Girl Talk - Feed the Animals

Fucking brilliant mixing, although its very Rap/R&B based there is some fantastic mash ups both old and new in there.

^ haha I have a really bad video on my FB of Girl Talk at St Jerome's Laneway Fest. I think it was pretty close to the most fun set I've ever seen. I wish the video was better.

Beastie Boys - Rhymin' and Stealin'

It's a Licensed To Ill afternoon.

The Black Keys - Hold me in your arms

How can you not like The Black Keys? I stole this CD from a guy I was dating years ago. He asked for it back the other day. I figure ownership becomes void after 12 months in someone else's possession. Just ask the Aborigines.

Antony and The Johnsons - Hope There's Someone

I think this was the first CD I ever listened to which elicited an emotional response that wasn't directly related to anything I'd experienced. Truly beautiful. As often happens, I discovered him/ them just weeks after they played at the Opera House in 2005. God damn that would have been a good show.

They Might Be Giants - Don't Let's Start

Some of the deep and strangest lyrics from the band that redefined deep and strange lyrical content

"everybody dies frustrated and sad, and that is beautiful, Nobody ever gets what they want and that is beautiful"

"Wake up! Smell the cat food in your bank account"

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Are you the one I've been waiting for?

I'm so glad I don't have to wake up early in the morning. This time of night is my favourite.

Oh we will know, won't we?
The stars will explode in the sky
Oh but they don't, do they?
Stars have their moment and then they die.

The Boatman's Call is such an epic album.

T.I. ft Justin Timberlake - Dead and Gone

Not sure why I am obsessed with this song, but I am. I think it's the violins - they are haunting.
