I've got that yeasayer album, i listened to it for a few weeks but havent since. The first few tracks are really good and different but then it gets a bit loose and themeless for me and I don't understand it.

Currently Listening to
DJ Krush feat. Akira Sakata - Slit of Cloud

hip hop beats with long sax sections

Have the tunes on my comp on shuffle, just played the 2manydjs Radio Soulwax Part 2 bit with Velvet Underground - I'm Waitin for the man.

Next song it skips to - the original Velvet Underground - I'm Waitin for the man.

what're the odds.

There are no coincidences, Joannie... only the illusion of coincidence.

Now's The Time by Only Crime.

They're kind of a punk rock supergroup led by Russ Rankin from Good Riddance, playing melodic hardcore. It sounds pretty damn similar to Good riddance, which is not too bad because some of the older GR records are among my favourites. But it suffers from periods of the pop punk shit that made later GR records lame, interspersed with some cool hardcore.

Nothing ground breaking but it's nice to blare.

We're caving in around a portion of progress
We suffer sounds through a hole in the sign
Climbing down where the pressures we purchase
Can we pretend that it meant anything at all?

The Helio Sequence - Lately

This album - keep your eyes ahead - is pretty cool and catchy in a way that isn't annoying. I like it.

I tend to agree here!

Chilled album, i dont mind it, good to put on when you jump into bed.

:)

Devolved - Virus

Because im in an angry mood and feel like listening to good angry music

Weezer - Mykel & Carli

B-side from the Blue Album. Choruses designed for call & response antics are automatic favourites, despite the fact that I usually listen to music by myself.

tegan and sarah live on the impossible music festival weekend.

im trying to recording it, but epic failing

all i want is the fuckin bloc party set tonight.

i also get to see these guys at falls... BOOYA

Since i haven't posted all year i'll sum it up with two albums

Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes (it takes a few listens, but fuck it grows on you!)
Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend (love this album, and am pissed their sydney show sold out in an hour)

I'm listening NIN - The Fragile. I can't remember which side it is. Still unsurpassed as my favourite. I don't listen to music that much any more though.

Cro-Mags - We Gotta Know

Hardcore from the mid-80s. Best intro to any track that i've ever heard.

Angry Samoans - Steak Knife

There's a hole, there's a hole in my heart
Dick hurts, chop it apart
Fuckin' sheep, I'm on the rag
They got my balls in a plastic bag

Just good 80s hardcore essentially.

Full album

New Edition - Heart Break

Late 80's R&B, the blueprint for most of the early 90s. Especially the songs by Jam & Lewis ('Can You Stand The Rain' especially)

Don't ever usually smoke weed but I did this night. Hiding out from people and this is what I feel like dealing with auditorilly:

The Saints - Rescue

It's really hard to google lyrics for this song but it sounds sweet.
