I think Staroslav is just rebranded " Krusovice Imperial" lager, or at least thats what a bit of net research says. fine stuff for 99p a 500ml bottle.

They do have some bargains, a few weeks ago my local Lidl had New Zealand Pinot Noir reduced from a tenner to £3.99

It wasnt great, but it was good enough to make me wish I had bought more than one bottle.

i also recommend banaweizen which is weizen beer (paulaner, erdinger, Schöfferhofer) with banana juice, weizen beer is perfect, but add the banana juice, and OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY FUCKING GOOD GOD, its is a hop based orgasm in a glass! yes it sounds shit, but it is looooverly. In fact this post has inspired me to get off my arscheloch, gehe unten, and to buy some banana juice and some weizens.
