Glass of cider from last night, mmm, tasty...

Will get a cuppa instead i reckon :D

Maybe you could get a squash on the go too

That would have been the best idea all round really.

Currently drinking this, pretty addictive stuff, although the name is a little misleading for what is essentially bright pink fizzy liquid sweets. Sadly I'm not on a beach somewhere sunny :(

Ha! My girlfriend (when she feels like it) and I stumbled upon 'Karibbean Kola' from exactly the same manufacturer the other day. Had to buy it with that name!

They do a 'Black Grape' one too, which oddly enough lists carrots amongst the ingredients, but no actual black grapes. Lovely though.

^I love Karibbean Kola. I know which brand you're referring to as well, and the black grape and strawberry soda's pretty good too. :)

About to start chugging the Gee's Linctus.

TG - Impeccable taste in music, guitars and semi-obscure soft drinks? You can be in my gang anytime. You'd have to lock up your guitars though. And the Gee's too.

Through the kindness of a work colleague who handed me £20 today, I'm drinking Guinness Original. Usually I'd prefer something German or Belgian but Guinness is a good stand-in. Especially for a feckless (plastic) paddy like myself, and all the more so with a (sensible) dose of diaz and alpraz.

Although for the record, Arthur Guinness was a bigoted protestant and it was company policy until the last century to bar Catholics from the upper echelons of the company. They don't put that shit on the Guinness website, unsurprisingly. But hey, UK-brewed Murphy's is shite so needs must...

Huh, thanks. :D

Benzos + Guinness = goodness. Nice work friend to boot. :)

Currently in need water. Seriously parched to say the least, and furthermore, I need to rid myself of this putrid Gee's taste. Brushing my teeth several times obviously doesn't cut it. :|

That looks rank but I'm loving the packaging :)

Sadie I'm also doing classy with a nasty bottle of yank merlot bought at a local wee shop for an exuberant price :!

since I've been off the booze on me sabbatical 2 glasses are enough to make me very classy =D

T'isn't rank at all. It tastes a bit like grape really. I usually pick a bottle up when I pass the poncy Japanese fusion place close to where I used to work.

I've gone right off red. I had a bottle for the first time in ages the other week and I couldn't stomach it. Seems I'm more into the whites nowadays. 8o

I'm on a sabbatical of my own actually. With a great whopping headache to accompany it. :\

You are so lucky to live near to these places :)

It's been so long since I've had red it's a novelty. But it was red I wanted, if it aint champagne I'm not doing white :!

Ah the joys of sabbatical detox, headaches and tears are often to be expected, but once you get through that the rewards are often energy and joy in life's simple pleasures. Go for it <3

I know. T'is one reason I should really be getting out more often. And another reason why you need to visit. :)

I wouldn't say detox as such, just off one of the more major fixtures in my life for what I hope to turn into 14 days (or more). Day 3 so far, with a definite 4 in plain sight. I reckon it's doable this time after my last few failed attempts left me feeling disappointed in myself and worse for wear. I'm in a shit stinking mood though. I could've killed each and every commuter on my way home today. :|

Oh don't you'll make me weep :( would like that so much - just as you would up here ;)

Good going, semi-sabbatical ftw <3 a girl does what she can eh. Ack go with the moods n' shit it's temporary and hold onto hope and what made you start this - the good stuff'll happen. One day at a time %)

I existed on Guinness, Hyde's Original, Köstritzer and 2 C-E for a large part of yesterday. Then a fuck-off pizza with good friends.

Great times but now I'm bed-bound and entirely lacking motivation...
