The whole trend of using surnames as girls' first names rubs me the wrong way. Hearing a girl named Mackenzie, Morgan, Regan, or Madison makes me wince.
I would not name my daughter Chastity. We all know what happens to them in high school.
My grandmother is from Ireland, and I once made her a bit perturbed by telling her I'm not a big fan of the most common ethnic Irish names. There will be no Patricks or Patricias in my family. No Mollys or Ryans. I like some of the less common ones like Maeve and Kieran, but I never cared for the name Pat one bit.
