I did phenibut daily for a year when I started (in 2005-2006). Obviously got addicted and withdrew, then some time later I got more and got into an every other day routine, which also produced dependence after a while. Then the next time I started, I kept it to once every 3 days (1 day on, 2 days off) and even this produced dependence eventually, though less and it was easier to stop. I now keep phenibut to once a week, maximum. I tend to think 1 day on, 2 days off works for people without previous dependence pretty sustainably, but maybe not. Definitely it's a little too much if you have previously been dependent (it is easier to get back to physical dependence on things you've previously been dependent on).
