ofcourse taking it in right way .physically and mentally prepared by shamans .

Hate to burst the bubble of psychedelic revolution and all, but people would, on the most part, go back to squabbling and killing eachother pretty damn quick.

It doesnt change everyones life you know, we are all creatures of individuality. how many times havnt youve heard about "if everyone took mdma just once". i got some friends who still keeps being asshole regardless. i on the otherhand, probably got a bit more friendly due to psychedelic. but i cant speak for the worlds population, society plays a big role in why people be as they are, drugs wont stop society from being society, once they reach sobriety (baseline) again.

Very little would happen. If if the concomitant use of psychedelics by everyone on the planet somehow did occur, and even if it DID precipitate a worldwide feeling of peace with others, I still doubt that we'd be able to effectively solve the host of global/environmental crises and that have been building up over the last century. But I'm a bit of a cynic.

maybe for 45 minutes there would be peace, but after that things would go back to normal. there is no magic or mysticism involved in psychadelics, their use in religion was only because they were around and modern science wasn't around to explain their effects. an entheogen creates the illusion of a spiritual experience, those are the effects of the drug. if you see God on a drug and you wouldn't see him without it, you're not seeing God you're seeing the effects of the drug.

A lot of people would either be late for work or die in a horrible traffic accident due to tripped out bus drivers. Ditto for many people not coming out successfully from open heart surgery.

If in some ideal perfect situation everyone was mentally prepared for it, took it in a good setting, and made an effort to gain something from it, then with oral DMT (smoked is too short, and I think most people find it harder to take lessons away from the shorter smoked trip, so not everyone would benefit) I think yeah the world would quickly become a lot more peaceful, a lot more open, and generally a nicer place to be in - but as for it magically curing all the problems, not quite.

It'd certainly be a push in the right direction, but the fact is for there to be some perfect ideal situation where everyone was ready for DMT and ready to learn from it, is probably even less likely than there ever being world peace in the first place anyway.

The "right way" of taking it is to do what a bunch of quacks trained in prehistoric superstitions tell you to do? I mean, if you're into shamanic thought and ritual, more power to you, but don't try to knock anyone else for not following your religion.

Most people would be like, woah that was weird, then go back to normal. A subset would see some psychological benefit, another subset some psychological detriment.

If they all did it correctly at the same time no one in the world would move for at least 30 seconds. And who knows maybe the wormholes and creatures that visit would open up telepathic highways!!! Not to sound too cheesy. But. Ya never know

By the right way I mean how to properly make it smolder and release the DMT from the orange gunk. I have heard of many lost attempts bc the user simply does not smoke properly and they think "this sucks". Meanwhile had they used the proper "technique" they would be on a roller coaster ride!

And not only would the aforementioned traffic jam in hyperspace take place, but the elves would doubtless pass an anti-immigration bill, and begin mass deportations, starting with the douchebags and politicians.

Back on earth, somebody would declare it to be a sign that the rapture was at hand, and mass religious hysteria would ensue, with the accompanying civil unrest. Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, would have died from blasting off while operating moving vehicles/heavy machinery. And finally, all the drug users would be like "AAAAAAA FREE DRUGS MORE MORE MORE!"

No seriously, I kid you not!

THE ELVES! Yesssss! That is the word I was searching for. Rulers of the intergalactic wormholes infinitely perfect patterns far superior to any human design.

A lot of people don't do so good with core-shaking experiences without answers or explanations. We can see that from the theories people come up with, ranging from esoteric and gullible to denial beyond skepticism. The element of unification might often work well for those who expected it and sought it out, but everyone taking DMT could be too severe - too much too fast. It could make differences in convictions and spiritual development painfully obvious and make some people turn to activist parties while others do their best to maintain status quo.

As is suggested in posts above this - it could catalyze a development but it would not necessarily unify all of us but at best some of us.

DMT and analogues are great medicine, but not panacea.

Between the fact that I have been using psychedelics for more than half my life....and given the fact that I have 'turned on' EVERY close friend, intimate partner, several family members, and dozens of seekers who met me through their friends....ages ranging from 18 to 62....so I have seen a lot in my day and i feel safe making sweeping generalizations....

Generalization #1 = Psychedelics are tools like guns. They have the potential to make a big bang...they have the potential to change lives, or even to destroy them.

#2 = What happens with a psychedelic depends largely on one's intentions for taking them in the first place. After this, set and setting begin to play a role.

#3 = Finally, the most important thing is follow up 'care' or 'therapy.' Finding the universe in a mushroom is one thing....making sense of it all and learning how to apply the lessons to actual living experience is something that takes work, intent, or a good 'shaman' or 'helper' to help the user direct their path until they work hard enough to maintain it on their own.

I've tripped so many times and had so many experiences I used to label as "+4" but in reality the real +4 experiences for me do not happen when I am high. My ibogaine experience showed me this...as the weeks went by and I was getting higher and higher.....I had to accept that ibogaine did not do this alone....this +4 that has been going on since March 3rd is the sum of all my life's experiences and work....I have to work hard to stay here....no psychedelic could do this for me and the reader here is no exception......A +4 that ends when the psychedelic wears off is what happens when no preparation and follow-up work occurs with a psychedelic.

No....DMT cannot save the world. People can save themselves. Perhaps DMT and other psychedelics can be tools to move us all ahead a step. I know I am going to be 'preaching the word' the rest of my life to anyone who wants to hear. But let's all give credit where credit is due....we are the mystical experience....not the drugs. Don't be afraid to think you can do this yourself.

The psychedelic experience isn't suited to everyone - there's a very small minority of people who are going to get anything out of it. The rest will just think "Ooh, I was scared and it felt funny".

Further experience in this area may convince you differently. Most people that I have met in this society use fear to govern what they should do and what they should avoid. I am sure many people before me have noted this, I don't claim this is any great revelation....but since t I don't see it as a recurring theme in the things I read and hear.....I now take it up concept as something I want to speak about to those who want to hear.

Fear-based living...that is how many of us live. Fear dictates everything in so many people. People are scared because they are raised to be.

And perhaps if we lived in a jungle and did not record science and history with writing....our instincts (and fear) may be the best means to live by. But now we have knowledge and we have no need to let fear of the unknown rule our lives.

I have recently had friends and family around me decide on their own that perhaps I am on to something....and that maybe they should ignore their fears....people who are as 'straight' as a line....who were trained from birth to be afraid.

Psychedelics are not for a majority or a minority. They are for those seeking, and with the right intentions (and a good guide for before AND AFTER the trip) psychedelic CAN be a catalyst for great change.

There is nothing unique about a person who will have a mystical experience...with or without the aid of entheogens....rather the issue is just that most of us in the West are raised to think these experiences should only happen to select people in books. Many therefore are content to read about it in a book and close their mind to the idea that they can go there too. I see it every day.

I am here to say....don't just read life and experience in a book. The psychedelic experience (or any 'far out' experience) is not for a select minority of 'seekers' maybe people who think they are 'enlightened.' These experiences are for anyone seeking, those who are sincere in their intentions will eventually find what they are looking for. I know this as a universal truth because I speak from a lifetime of experience...and I speak from beyond my own personal experience.

Fear and excitement/elation are the same chemical process in the body. All that differs is how the mind labels and reacts to the sensations of the adrenaline rush. Once a person realizes this (and lives it) they can accept their fears, EMBRACE THE FEAR, and soon the idea of fear will no longer be a primary decision making factor in a life.

No one has to be special, or 'enlightened' for them to make this their reality.

The psychedelic experience isn't suited to everyone - there's a very small minority of people who are going to get anything out of it. The rest will just think "Ooh, I was scared and it felt funny".

thanks morninggloryseed! thread can be closed now! ;)

btw: I had similar thoughts during the last few months. fear is the key to the majority of (inter)personal issues.
and besides fear there is only love.

Nope. I've smoked DMT and im kind of a douchebag. I have friends who are absoulte sociopaths too who smoke the shit regularly and get other people on it.

Even if you got everyone into a proper aya experience, everyone's different. That's the only way society can function. Ying yang. Inverse. Competition. Evil. It happens...:\
