What was your scent today V. what's that stank??

I MISS THAT OIL :(:(

my favourite scent so far, besides the juicy couture "jasmine" scented perfume, anything that smells like me is where it's at
 
My go-to, when I wear a scent:

A lot of the time when I get out of the shower I like to rub in this massage oil from Crabtree & Evelyn. It's got kind of a heady smell. Very sensual, but subtle. I feel like it moisturizes better than lotion. But, I ran out today and bought Neutrogena's massage oil. We shall see...
 
I try to change it up every year, this year I'm using Burberry during the day and Zirh Ikon at night. Both good stuff and classy in a way too. It was funny the comment earlier about axe, I always chuckle about that stuff but a lot of women eat it up. Anecdotal I know, but I have seen the effect.

My suggestion is to go go a few fragrance stores, and just tell them that you're in the market for a cologne/fragrance. If the person is good, they'll guide you through the different kinds of scents (ie, woody/musky or fresh/citrus), then will give you a sample of a typical type in those ranges. You may prefer one over the other, or you may be partial to both. Hmmm, do you have a ladyfriend who could go with you? Seriously, if i were in the same country as you, i'd be only too happy to take you to a perfumery and help you!

Here are a few suggestions to get you going:

Issey Miyake pour homme - classic sample of citrus/fresh
Acqua Di Gio
Hugo Boss - my hubby sometimes wears it and i love it!
A few in the Armani Range are nice- you can get woody/musky or citrus/fresh styles in this range.

It's not a huge list, but you could write them down and take them with you to see if you like them?

Wonderful advice! And no... no ladyfriends. In fact, I think they're put off by my bedroom eyes... too seductive or something, I guess. Make the flight, help me choose my scent. :)

I literally am as ignorant as a new born on this topic so this thread is like my introduction to not smelling like sweaty ass.
 
yea I made it back after all that and was supposed to go up again but this opportunity presented itself and at the risk of never being able to teach again, I've rather dived down into the rabbit hole.

This has become my default daily perfume for a long time now. It makes me smile when wearing it. What I especially love is how I can smell it on my husband after I've been hugging him.

Unfortunately he has absolutely no sense of smell so hasn't a clue what it's like :D

Today I wore: Black Orchid by Tom Ford

It's a lovely evening scent, although I did not go out tonight I decided to spritz it on after my shower just because I wanted to smell it :)

I love Mademoiselle! It was my wedding perfume <3 Its quite expensive here in Australia, so i only wear it on special occasions :)

My only tip, if you end up choosing and using a cologne/fragrance, is to not use too much! A subtle waft of cologne is sexy as hell. A blast of it that explodes in yo face is not as nice :)
