What was your good deed for the day????

Again, when you actually have a job, feel free to contribute to the discussion.

Ta! :)

You might want to check the title of this topic. This isn't a job discussion. It's about good deeds. It's laughable that you think doing your job of answering customers questions counts as a good deed. It's even more laughable how the corporation you work for have managed to brain wash you into being one of their monkeys. Just think when you get that supervisor position you'll go one step up the ladder, instead of just dealing with the customers on the front line you'll get to deal with the really angry ones that don't want to talk to the front line monkeys. Progress!

eh, Urbain I get where you're coming from and I think people are mixing issues here too much. Haven't got time to clarify atm tho

^^ this in particular is absolute ARSE. Resentful fucking nonsense on Spade's part since he's only ever had a dead end job where he feels exploited. Not all companies are like that and there are a few gems out there who do invest in their teams.

Considering Amazon are avoiding paying corporate tax to the tune of many many millions (by claiming they're a delivery business rather than sales), they can afford to pay their employees better and invest more in service. (not a good thing necessarily but eh .. )

back later. beavers to watch <3

I predicted a few minutes ago, and was actually going to post it but I went to make some food instead, that any minute Marmz would come in and stick up for Urbain. She always sticks up for people who have white knighted for her in the past especially if she see's me disagreeing with them. %)

you cock

Badge cull is off now too, permanently. thank fuck. most retarded policy ever.

Yeah, quite.

Actually most of my good deeds today were for myself, for once, after a shitstorm of doing things for other people all week.

Ahahaha. Answering questions is somewhat skewed from the actual comment about helping others - something you know nothing about. A shame. In reality, you could answer everyone's question, but still never actually resolve a problem. For me personally, it's always a nice feeling to do so, and know that you have helped, regardless of what employment you are in, or what event in life you may come across. Unfortunately spadey, you are an arrogant snob, who, with a ridiculously unfounded high and mighty approach to discussions, berates anyone, or anything on this board, that isn't you. Hence why:

You are unemployed.
You are still living at home with your mum.
You drink alone.
You are Ginger. (OK, that may be irrelevant, but your speccy bonce is legendary, and the picture of you we all have, totally debunks any claim that you made, suggesting you have ever had sex, except for those thai hookers, obv).

Bored now. Better get all these customer surveys done..

Spades avatar was/is legendary, Remember when we all posted his pic as our own avatars and then the no fun mods told us to take them off or else get banned :)

Not sure which one he looked like more though, I think the left one is a spitting image :)

Thanks for the compliment. %)

you sound bitter about your job in the call centre spade

its not very nice to belittle other peoples occupations / careers, even when you dont high their positions in very high regard

but then again this is the internet and people like to hide behind keyboards and say nasty things that they would otherwise not say in a real world public domain

Bought Miss Swedger some flowers to cheer her up.

Buying girls flowers when you've done fuck all wrong always goes down well. She's worth it anyway. <3

Puke

Thats nice ^

anyway enough of that ;)

We've been over this. Spade is fond of trotting out the same old worldly wide views on employment & travel but they're all rendered null and void by the fact he lives at home and doesn't even support himself financially.

and no Spade, not following you, not obsessed, just sick of you posting utter bullshit.

That, and he's thoroughly fucking miserable, day in day out. Let's not forget that. Not a great advertisement for his theories. It's not easy being Spade.

He's gonna start bleating about being picked on in a mo, in another lulzworthy crack at avoiding responsibility for his misery diatribe.

I have done no good deeds beyond telling Mugz not to go gambling.

edit: although I have done some research on Psilocybin and cluster headaches with an aim to helping an old fucker I know who is currently maimed by them so that'll bloody do.

@Marmz

Letting your mother go out to work so she can put chorizo on the table while you sit around in your pants posting why you're too good for certain jobs is hardly respect worthy.

To hear the way he goes on you'd think he was Richard Branson or something.

Shut up Spade.

Guess I'll join in the converstation while I drink my tea.

Okay honestly, doing your job for which you get compensation is not a good deed. A good deed is a selfless act for which you get no tangible material benefit. Also I'm sure Urbain was taking the piss when he was talking all that corporate non-sense, at least I hope.

To stay on topic, I haven't done anything yesterday except cook myself food, buy beer and walk down the park. Although while walking along the river I put the empty Haribo bag back in my pocket instead of chucking it into the water, so i reckon refraining from littering might count as a good deed.

i have read half of this thread and read the other half tomorrow.
re: customer service. yes, i believe in giving good customer service wherever i work... i once worked at sports soccer (now sports direct) and attempted to provide a good customer service by suggesting to the supervisor (who was about 10 years my junior) to open another till, rather than faffing around trying to look important with his walkie talkie, as the customers were complaining ...my reward? the sack, just a few weeks before christmas.

anyway, can't think of todays good deed, but i did a marvellous rosy glow deed on a rainy summers day. i was walking the dog around a lake when i heard the sound of a distressed duck and duckling. (chirp chirp, quack quack quack) i saw this little duckling by the waters edge strugglig to paddle and it's mother all in a flap. i waded into the water nearly thigh high on this wet cold miserable day, took the scissors out of my bag and cut the fishing line that was tangled around the little duckies leg. oh the joy, oh the rosy glow as mother and child paddled off together.
