What song impacted you the most when using psychs...

Wish you were here by Pink Floyd .. I was on an island called Gili Trawangan in Indonesia, already tripping from some mushrooms I'd bought but sat waiting with a local guy while his friend went to pick up some more. The guy I was waiting with had an acoustic guitar and asked me what I wanted him to play...I said something by Pink Floyd and I was thinking I wanted to hear that song but didn't say it specifically...then he played it. It was a really deep trip and blew my mind and its what I think of every time I hear the song.

I also love listening to Mr Scruff on any psychs ... just makes me laugh my face off :)
 
Most certainly "Lux Eterna" or "Eternal Light", in english I believe can't link right now as i'm not at a comp, but I believe its composed by Clint Mansell. Most of you would recongize it as the Reqiuem for a Dream song. It rocks me even sober. Besides that, Tool in all forms, the ablum Urban Hymns by The Verve, particually One Day and Velvet Morning, Alice in Chains every bit, Mad Seasons most sadly only album, Shirley Temples Pussy, Temple of the Dog, Screaming Trees as well as Lanegans solo work, also Jerry Cantrells solo ablums, Johnny Cash, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime, Bliind Melon, Jack Savoretti, The Devil Makes Three, and much more, i'll probably edit this with a couple of links/additions but obviously IMO you can't really go wrong with anyone!
 
Gotta Drop some Poetry and Hip-Hop into this discussion. If you've never found or discovered the new and old few but amazing Psychedelic Hip-Hop / Drug Rap that's out there..........there is some seriously Ill shit that even if you don't like Hip-Hop, the beats are more Trippy than anything else, and the Lyrics are Pure Philosophy. This Song is the true story of Human Life, the absolute soul of the Life Experience, at least to me, spoke in a Metaphor. Beauty. I found it on 3-MeO-2-Oxo-PCE a few weeks ago again. Been years since I heard it. Almost cried to be honest. It was just so true and Beautiful. It's all of the lessons I've learned from Psychedelics put into song. I love real Hip Hop.

I play this song whenever it Rains really good outside, or especially in the Fall and Spring when life is in Transition. It makes me know that Eyedea's spirit and Energy just transferred forms and he's still around. I feel like I can see his soul in every raindrop and it makes me smile knowing he's still a part of life, still creating beauty. I'm sure that sounds very silly, but I don't really care. It's the truth.

This song is dedicated to every woman who's ever been with me. I'm sorry girl, I really did love you with all of my heart - unfortunately, my mistress will always be Music with Psychedelics used to create Art. Life is too much of a Trip to be tied down to age old Christian based Philosophies of there only being one person on this planet that we should devote our entire existence to. I tried it with two different women, and they both just ended up taking advantage of my Funds, Heart, and Kindness. Human being are inherently Selfish. I've finally grown to understand this, and have lived to learn that in order to be happy, and bring happiness to others lives - I first have to learn how to be happy in my own existence and be comfortable in my own skin. Until I realized that, every day of life was a burden. Now that I know this, every day is just more Progression to a Higher Place. At least that's what I like to believe.
I've got one more for you, I'll switch it up a little this time. This guy is another hero of mine. Check out the documentary "Searching For Sugar Man" and tell me this man is not one of the most beautiful Human Beings ever to live. He should've been as big or bigger than Bob Dylan, and he should have got to record SO MUCH more music during his prime. Due to people not noticing his music, we only got 2 Masterpieces out of him. It took Americans almost 40 fucking years to discover his Genius and fall in love with his music like I did when I was 17. Thanks Sixto, I'll never forget how happy I was getting to see you perform Live, even if just once, in my Lifetime. Thank You Universe for real! Here you go. An absolute Favorite. Maybe today yeah, I'll Slip Away.........The craziest shit is the fact that, this was actually the LAST song that he ever recorded. He got fired from his Record Label 2 weeks before Christmas because his albums just were NOT selling. They were lying and stealing his money - he just wasn't selling in AMERICA. He was selling Millions of Records in South Africa and other parts of the World. Crazy Shit.

years ago the "resolution" at 3:15 sent me to the other side and into my first ++++ on semilanceata. psychedelic ecstasy. even months after that experience, listening to this album reliably put me into an transcendental state... Ive had some amazing experiences on everything from acid, 2c-e, 4-ho-met, tma-6 and others while listening to these songs, i remember on my first acid trip, i almost came in my pants when i put on wild thing, never had i ever felt that level of eargasm before.

i listened to this on 3 blue shiva blotters. it's slower than the album version, and it seemed like i was slowing down time! almost stopping it kinda.

this song happened to be playing when i broke through on salvia. it was such an utterly terrifying experience, that to this day (3 years later) this song still gives me the creeps.

There are lots that impacted me, too many to name. But I will mention Jimi Hendrix's Bold as Love, which had a massively positive influence on me when I listened to it on acid. Santana Samba Pa Ti is also amazing to the point it caused my eyes to tear up due to the emotions imparted on me by the song <3

If you like this cat - I REALLY REALLY hope that you are familiar with Prefuse 73. Edit is dope for sure, but his best shit, is almost a straight up bite of Prefuse. It's pure OG Trip Hop and Glitch Hop at it's most raw and most original. Check out - One Word Extinguisher - Vocal Studies and Uprock Narratives - Surrounded By Silence - The Forest Of OverSensitivity EP...........dude is such a MASTER of all styles. Got to check it out, and that goes for anyone who likes some good Hip/Hop/Turntableism. He usually plays with 2 live drummers with full sets, and a 5-10 piece live Band/Orchestra. SO ILL!! If this Prefuse 73 track doesn't remind you of walking outside in the Late Afternoon / Early Evening with your friends, tripping on LSD, smoking a blunt, without a care in the world because life is so goddamn beautiful at that moment - I feel bad for you and you may have never actually experienced the true beauty in life. I saw The Gaslamp Killer with Prefuse 73, live in a bar during this time of year (the fall), the bar held less than 100 people, I was with the Love of My Life all dressed up and in a great mood, great vibes, also on 3hits of great quality, super clean, LSD, as well as very blunted, a little Alprazolam - and then the most amazing Live Set I've ever fucking witnessed. I danced with me girl for 2+ hours straight, no stopping, barely a drink of water - we practically fucked on the dance floor...........not really, but it was getting dirty and people were stopping dancing to watch me and my girl. It was such a weird night. I swear (could be delusion, I am fucking crazy), but everyone at that show kept checking out me and my girl - she was barely clothed and dancing as crazy as me - she was 5'6'', 110pounds, nice tan naturally dark skin and complexion, dark black hair, Double D's of Doom - goddamn. People would watch us (probably her) and I only saw 3 expressions - the most common, mainly from other women - Sheer Hatred. Women hate to see other women they deem less attractive than them dancing with a guy that they would be feeling. We got SO many dirty looks from Jealous Bitches. Then there were cool cats that were Hyped, they could see how crazily perfect we were for each other, and how deeply in love we were at that moment. It was a look of Jealousy, but not in a mean way - it was Admiration for what we were accomplishing in this crazy world. Then some people were just plain confused and didn't get anything that was going on. Odds are, they weren't on enough drugs. I probably sound crazy, but if you were there, you'd agree. Sorry for the crazy stories.... It was funny as fuck too, because me and my girl, while considered Conventionally Attractive by most people, neither of us act that way or see ourselves as good looking people, we consider ourselves Weirdo's above all else. It was a nice Self Esteem boost, especially trippin'. That night was one of the best in my life - and that's saying a lot, because at the very end of the night/next morning - my girl noticed my one arm and the fact that I had secretly been using Heroin again. It actually worked out, because from there, it was in the open, I knew I could talk to her about it from then on, and she helped me get Clean. It was a great trip, and amazing night. So much good shit went down. I'll always love that woman - I fucking hate speed!!

This song is why I love Prefuse - even if you don't like this style of music, you should check this song, just to see what the dude can do. The real beat doesn't take off until about 1min into the track, the first 60 seconds is just wild, weird noises - and then all of a sudden, Prefuse just breaks shit off with this random Ill Ass Beat out of nowhere. The first minute is like, uh, what the fuck is this Prefuse...........and then all of a sudden, it's like he just decides to Melt Your Fucking Brain. So sick. Thanks Guillermo Scott Herron.

Flying Lotus - Fall in Love... Had quite the teary eyed morning once on 2C-B + LSD when this song came on. I thought the effects of the drugs had subsided but it was only me filtering out its effects, once the song came on my room swirled and I realized just how beautiful and precious the love I had found only recently then was to me.. I am still with this woman and I thank the originators of these compounds for blessing us all.. Eternally grateful for it.
