I am 53 and have had restless leg syndrome (RLS) all my life. It does not disturb my sleep and any discomfort is minimal, however I final decided to see a doctor about it and he prescribed dihydroergotoxine, 4.5 mg per day. I read about the drug and see it is a nootropic, which I only knew a little about. After reading more (including here) I am somewhat interested in what improvements these drugs can provide me. The dihydroergotoxine has lowered my RLS significantly and I was somewhat surprised not to see much written about this for RLS. I did read patients with RLS were given 10-40 mg so I could probably get a higher dose from my doctor and I would like to know if there is potential memory benefits with this. I am learning a language and anything to help with that would be good. I am primarily looking to stay healthy and any enhancements would be a plus. Currently I am only taking fish oil and I eat a balance diet. I am in good health with no problems that I am aware of.
I most likely will try Piracetam, but I am not sure at what quantity and if I should also take choline.
I am also thinking to take Deprenyl.
Any advice on what to take for maintaining or improving my mind and for learning another language will be appreciated.
