What prescriptions are you Rx'ed?

Zoloft. This drug has desensitized the hell out of me, and I really feel I shouldn't be taking it anymore. I have tried to ween myself off slowly, but the withdrawal symptoms were absolute killers. Has anyone had success with quitting an SSRI?

Yes, I brought myself off of 20mg Lexapro with some crazy withdrawal symptoms after it began making me feel suicidal (as all SSRI's and SNRI's have done to me).

Zoloft is "instant release", right? Make sure before you follow my advice. Make sure there are no "do not chew or crush" warning labels on the side.

Then, if the conditions are right, break your Zoloft into quarters. Take 3 quarters of what you normally take til you feel alright, then 1/2, then 1/4, and see how you feel. Make sure that all dizzy spells and withdrawal symptoms have gone away before cutting down again.

so now

2 mg of xanax (as needed but i have 2 bars a day as far as the # of tabs)
2mg of kolonopin 2 x a day (but my tolerance makes it not even worth it anymore)
10mg of dexmethylphenidate 2 x a day (dont' like to take that shit all the time though)
andd..

newerest: cymbalta (an snri)
dont' know how i feel about it (it's supposed to be best for matinence of anxiety and small effects with helping chronic pain, but it's my 5th day so we'll see) so any feedback on cymbalta?

*side question: An SNRI doesn't effect serotinin so what is the situation with rolling and psychedlics when on an SNRI? (if this is a broad enough question i can just throw up another thread....)*

Update:

# 120 0.5 mg Xanax. Switched from Klonopin # 90 0.5 mg.

And, to the question about SNRI's, they DO effect serotonin as well as norepinephrine so serotonin syndrome should not be disregarded as a possibility.

I could get Methylphenidate if I wanted too. I think I can get some kind of Benzo prescribed for sleep when I am old enough idk what age you need to be though. I don't know possibly a future pain killer prescription some how like wisdom teeth or something lol.

Lexapro but the generic brand forget the name but that's for depressions. I abuse these drugs though:

Lortab
Vicodin
Adderall
Percocet

#120 15 oxycodone IR (every 4 hours, or as needed)
#60 1mg clonazepam (prescribed 2x daily, for anxiety)
#30 15mg temazepam (night, for sleep)
.....
Not prescribed (anymore. However I DO take)
#60 mg Adderall IR (for ADD/ADHD - dose 2x daily)

The only other prescription I have is for BC: Fail on Birth Control prescription month 3 - my body keeps rejecting it!(?) I have a prescription for Ortho Tri-cyclen. I used to take this but, 'Lo', which was very compatible with my body. It is just that my current insurance does not allow me to get that 'version' of the medication - LAME! Weird that the difference is so pronounced!

This thread is insane, I cannot fathom how some of these doctors can possibly write all these scripts without being paranoid as hell...I have all sorts of psychiatric issues, have all sorts of trouble sleeping and get anxiety attacks and all my doctors are scared shitless to prescribe anything that's even vaguely abusable. Adderall and previously focalin were the only things that I have ever been prescribed that were even close to abusable. Hell, even when I had a kidney stone although they gave me a shot of dauladid in the hospital they essentially told me to just take ibuprofen afterward if I was in terrible pain.

Anyways, as to the thread; my current prescriptions are:

Lexapro (escitalopram): 20 mg a day (going up soon) - clinical depression/dysthymia/GAD
Suboxone (bupenorphine): 8 mg a day (even though I take less) - Opiate maintenance
Adderall (amphetamine salts): up to 60 mg a day as needed - adult ADHD (amotivational type)
reglin (metaclopramide): up to 20 mg a day as needed - nausea related to suboxone

Not nearly as colorful as some of the people on here...

^ If I got prescribed amphetamines, I'm sure as hell I couldn't sleep and have anxiety attacks.

However, I'm not in your shoes and don't know your history, so sorry if I'm intruding but that's my view on amphetamines (which just aren't prescribed in my country).

Dont want to sound ignorant or discredit any legit pain you may have but ..
