What prescriptions are you Rx'ed?

not much but I finally got a script for oxycodone (percocet) after I told my doc that taking 15 ibuprofen/aspirin/tylenol per day was making my stomach bleed. It was.

I went out on a limb with what really is the truth . . . I said "you won't like hearing this but my friend gave me one of his pills and it totally changed my life for a day. I got work done and woke up without pain the next day. . . It was roxicodone i'm not sure what mg though. . Just being honest with you"

Percs don't do much though I'm telling him that next week that i figured out my friend gave me a 30mg roxi and see if he ups my dosage.

#30 fexofenadine
#1 albuterol inhaler

Seriously, I'm gaping like an idiot at some of the posts in this thread. Either you guys know some good pill mills or are way more fucked up than I imagined :D People Rx'd massive amounts of benzos, somas, barbs, sleeping pills, opiates....at the same time?? I'd kill for a single one of those scripts.

Last year I went to a doctor for extreme insomnia problems and he gave me a fucking meditation CD. A week ago I went to a different doctor to get a script for, get this, brompheniramine. An OTC antihistamine. It needed to be special ordered from the pharmacy because they didn't have it in stock and the preparations required an RX for some reason. HE REFUSED to write me a script for an OTC ANTIHISTAMINE despite my long, well documented history of allergies since the age of 5. He looked at me like I was asking for oxycontin and asked me suspiciously what I was using it for several times. This is a drug with less recreational potential than benadryl. I have no documented history of drug abuse or drug seeking, and I look like a 12 year old catholic school boy.

I swear to god, I feel like I'm in fucking lala land sometimes when I compare my experiences to those written about on this board.

a cd!? wtf? (not that it wouldn't be potentially helpful to augment necessary meds even if short-term, but insomnia is miserable... the racing thoughts, tossing and turning, etc.)

i actually went through every 1st and 2nd line drug before having to take all of this (which they all honestly failed). i've been in treatment for 10 years for SEVERE headaches that never went away, not one second of the day and for panic disorder/agoraphobia). though my psychiatrist does pretty much give me whatever i ask for or ask to try. she does presctibe massive amounts. this last time she did all the benzos (#90 ativan #90 tranxene #90 kpin) and the ambien with 5 refills. i was even shocked. i don't even take them all but fill them so i at least i have reserves if i ever lose insurance for a time or can't afford them. and the pain doc had me on all sorts of shit before i said just lortabs please. had me on dilaudid, fentanyl patches, percocet and demerol.

but yeah, depends on the doctor. some suspect everyone is a pill-seeker. and some will write you SOMETHING ELSE if you say you've had drug A that has workedin the past... they give you drug B because you asked for it. EVEN if they were going to pr. drug A to begin with. and i'm not even talking about just scheduled drugs.

I don't have a daily script apart from Lexapro (which I have never taken ;)) but I get a number of "as needed" benzo scripts, these generally include diazepam, bromazepam and temazepam mostly. I also get scripted zolpidem tartrate fairly regularly.

i used to be scripted
geodon 60mg morning, 120mg nightly for paranoid schizophrenia. I quit because it was so sedating, but I'm considering getting back on it, or at least having some available for stressful times.

Daily Med List

I've been on at least three medications a day since age 15. Now I'm 27 years old, have kicked heroin after using since I was 18, (IV since age 21) so here goes...

Pristiq 50mg 1x daily (desvenlafaxine) for major depressive disorder/anxiety
Lamictal 100mg 1x daily (lamotrigine, switched from 1.5 grams/day of depakote for mood stabilization))
Cerefolin NAC 1x daily (I was born with no CYP2D6 activity, also augments effectiveness of SNRIs/SSRIs and mood stabilizers))
Valium 10mg 4x/day (Diazepam brand names, generics don't work for me. prescribed for severe anxiety/panic disorder, PTSD)
Vyvanse 40mg 1x daily (lisdexamfetamine dymesilate for ADD/ADHD)
Suboxone 8mg 2x daily (opioid dependent)
Rozerem 1x at night for sleep (JUST switched to rozerem from Ambien CR. Amben was giving me really bad migraines)
Imitrex 50mg tablet as needed for migraine headaches. (sumatriptan)

Cannabis - daily when I can afford it! =)
P.S. After being on a slew of these psychiatric meds for most of my adult life, I've found the natural or herbal supplements help me the most. Also exercise is key to overcoming depression and keeping energy levels up. Smoking buds is for me the ultimate antidepressant, and I am currently doing everything in my power to get out to Cali, or another area with similar laws concerning decriminalization.

As of right now? Just 2.

Suboxone - 12mg/day (My 2nd time on a maintenance program to try and stay off dope. Hopefully I can last longer than a year this time around...)
Clonazepam - 3mg/day (A bad case of social anxiety disorder.)

Too bad I can't get medical marijuana here in Ohio. A little bit of good bud goes a long way for me; don't feel all nervous, don't get cravings for dope, and I can just be happy on a day-to-day basis. Unfortunately both doctors drug test so I can only do it every once and a while :-/
