What made you smile today?

having someone come back into my life as a friend, which is more than I had thought possible, and being able to talk about why things were the way they were

Talking on the phone with my oldest sister 1000 miles away, and even though at first I didn't agree with what she is doing in her life right now, now realizing how happy she is, and that I haven't heard her like this in such a long time!

And talking to my little sister during her Graduation party and hearing her so happy when I told her how proud I am of her!

:)

I smile when..my bed is warm and clean, when theres plenty of good food and coffee...when I help someone out of selflessness. When Nicole smiles at me...When school is going well and I know that someday again I'll be happy and sucessful...
When powerlifting is good and I inch that much closer to a 400lbs benchpress...When I hear from my philanthropist brothers and things are good for them...When i hear from old friends in Tallahassee and they tell me whats new...when i watch the sun set at the beach and know that tomorrow as today will be beautiful and the world is mine...

I've been havinga rough time at work lately, I had somewhat of an outburst on friday and spent a deal of friday night on the phone to my dad almost in tears explaining what was going on. I arrived at work this morning, fearing the day ahead, only to be greeted with an e-mail message form him that said"

"If I could be granted one wish today it would be to make my baby girl giggle first thing this morning, ensuring her day is a happy and productive one, that she would realise that she is incredibly talented and able in her job, that she can only do as much as she can do and that I love her so very much and am so very proud of her"

My father has always been a man of few words and not one that shows an awful lot of affection, nor is her very good at or comfortable with e-mail and he doesn't read/write very well... he undoubtedly had my brother help him out with the message... but either way, reading this made me smile so much (and also brought a tear to my eye).

I sent him an e-mail tonight telling him his wish was granted and that no matter how old I am, I will never be too old to be daddy's little girl :)

- Kelle

Kelle, that's beautiful. *sniff sniff*

Wish my dad did that.... :)

Kel...I couldn't agree with SLM any more!

Tonight, it made me smile to find out that my little sister is not now only a college graduate...but her and her boyfriend are on vacation in NYC, and she just emailed me to tell me that he proposed, and she gladly accepted! :)

I finished this hard stats project I'd been working on for a month now, AND completed the final report on an nsf grant for my professor and submitted it AND found out that they listed me as third presenter on a conference presentation that I'm not going to be able to make the conference for (I did do a lot of work on it)

:D:D:D yay!

Thinking of Dreamy moments

Finding My Male Counterpart in this world and getting to dance with him for roughly 10 minutes. I Squirm and giggle and Squeel Just thinking about it. And Soon I'll get tha film back that holds 2 photos of him and 1 of us dancing :D Eeeeeeeeeeeekhahahhehe

Maybe i will encounter him again, maybe not, but it is a nice moment to have in ones mind. :)

I love today! I am in such a GREAT mood!
To start off, I woke up smiling, feeling my little guy moving in my belly!
Then, the phone rang, and it was Daddy to be, finally not in Albania anymore! He sold his watch, (he loved that watch for he had no money for a phone card, and couldn't wait until the first to call when he got paid, which I am glad about) All just to talk to me, and check on the baby and I! Or as he put it, the watch was well worth hearing my voice! I love him so much!
Then to make things better we decided on a name for our little guy FINALLY!
Then to add to my day, I have gotten 3 emails from a very good friend of mine that is with the same MEU my boyfriend is with, and that just made me smile also!

first smile of the day came at 1 am with an unexpected phone call- still smilin'

2nd came when i realized that my best friend (serenity), who's been in japan for the past year, is gonna be here on a visit to the states in just a few hours :)

The post lunch kisses I got from my man today.

The thunderstorm that is happening as we speak.

Replaying the message my long lost best friend left on my voicemail.

It's all the little things for me.

Mandy

A voicemail message at work from a (moronic) lawyer representing the otherside that began with "Hi it's Peter, but you can whip me, bite me, rub me, touch me, spank me and call me Shirley - if you leave your credit card details we can get more intimate" followed by an extremely serious message regarding the case. Go figure.

Needless to say, I had that message transferred to a tape and have passed it on to those who would find it as entertaining as I did.

I swear...this is the best day I have had in a long time!

Today not only did I get to speak to my wonderful boyfriend...

I just got another phone call....My little brother is back in the states and not in Iraq anymore!!! YAY!!!!!!

(Okay he isn't my blood little brother, but ask anyone really around that base...and they know me as Jason's big sister...he is my little brother)

=D =D =D =D =D

today I smiled at the little old man sitting by himself at a table in my resturant that i work at, being returned with a little small talk.- just to make him feel special!

I smile at people who look like they need it.

Today my daughter graduated from pre-k. They were wearing little caps and gowns and they sang a song:

Special Special little me
wonder what
I will be
In this great big world
I can be
Anything I want to be
Special Special little me
wonder what I will be

to the tune of *Twinkle Twinkle Little Star*

That made me smile. =D

~My brother and sister coming in to my room to wake me up and say good morning

~Getting an I miss you <3 u msg this morning from my boyfriend

~Remembering the fun I had last night with my cousin

~Reflecting on the conversation had with one of my good friends Wednesday night and the great times shared with him in the past.

That made ME smile... what a beautiful, caring and simple thing to do. You probably made the old guy's week!... =D

I smiled when I found out the name and marital status (single) of the extremely hot chick up on the 2nd floor at work that I've been flirting with, through a mutual friend. My plan is coming together!... Whooohhahahhaahahaaa! ;) ;) ;)
