What made you smile today?

smoking my lil sis's depressed-about-boys friend out... and then her test message to my sis saying "tell your sister she has fuckin good weed" tehehehe...

I saw the film "Identity" today, and while it didn't physically make me smile, I liked it a lot. Also, I think I finally understand myself. Sort of. (Those who have seen the movie might get a little freaked at what I just said; relax, the two statments were unrelated.)

Today I was sitting and waiting for my train to arrive so I could go home. It was taking ages and it was hot. I had just finished off a lousy day at work, and was feeling pretty crappy because I am getting sick again for the 2nd time this month :( and stressed out because I had hardly done any homework for uni which starts back up on Monday after having 2 weeks off.

A train arrives, not my train though and a bunch of passengers get off. As I'm looking down and fiddling with my CD player I notice out of the corner of my eye someone is walking past me kinda slowly, but then picks up the pace.. then stops, turns around and comes over to me, so I look up.

There is this dude there and he's smiling and he says: "Excuse me, do you mind if I pay you a compliment?"

Im kind of shy so I was really shocked and I said "Ok."

So he says: "You are beautiful."

That caused me to smile. It was one of those smiles you don't have to force, just an automatic huge big-ol smile. I was so flattered and stunned. I've never had anything like that happen to me before. So I said "Ohhh thank you!" and he said "No problem" and walked away. I'm still smiling! :D

Isn't it amazing how one person's ( that you don't even know ) words can make you feel!

Reading your reply Foxi has made me smile today! This was actually one of hte first things my boyfriend said to me. I had never met him before this night, we were at a mutual friends house, all drunk playing asshole, and I went outside to check on one of his friends whom was sick (I fed him too many shots...hehe) and Geoff walks out also and says to me, I jsut want you to know, that I think your are absolutely amazing just beautiful! He then just stood there with htis little boy look on his face, it was so cute! Ofcourse I thanked him!

I got hugged by a 10 year old girl named Nay Nay! She just bolted onto me in the park and we went over to a bench and talked. Kids are so refreshing sometimes. :)

5:30 this morning......

Receiving a phone call from my boyfriend that has been in Iraq, finding out his part is finished there, and getting to tell him....We are having a boy!
It is so great to hear him so happy, and so proud!
I love and miss him so much !

=D =D =D =D

Everytime my little son-to-be moves or kicks me. That is enough to make me forget all my troubles and just enjoy the fact that I have a little life growing inside of me. He made me smile today, and he does it everyday.

This baby is one of the few things that can make me smile anymore. He does it numerous times a day.

Every time I hear from my wonderful friend who is overseas right now, that always makes me smile as well. It's hard to find good friends anymore and this man is the best man I have ever met.

This thread made me crack a lil smile today sis. I'd smile if you came up here to see me. I'm trying to get some money together to buy you a plane ticket myself!!!

waking up to another day - knowing that i'm trying to make a difference in my life :)

i had a really rough day at work today. i get home, and my girl is cleaning up dinner 'cuase i was late. my kid was in his room playin' with some trucks. i just watched him for 5 minutes. all of the sudden, he notices me. a huge smile crosses his face, and runs over to me yellin' "daddy, daddy, daddy!!". the gives me a huge hug-an-smooch and says "your the bestest daddy in the whole world."

that put a smile on my face today.=D

Reading everyone's replies always make me smile!

Another day though, that I wake and smile feeling this little boy in me just a bopping all around! That makes me happier than I have ever been in my life!

Being one more day closer to acheiving my goals.
Being one day closer to my own brand of happiness.
Seeing the smile on the face of the woman that I'm falling in love with even though she's not with me yet.

My six year old nephew today :) When I asked him why he thought some people were mean.

He responded while riding on his scooter around and around in a circle.

"like because some people just act mad and they say its for nothing, like for no weason but it's really something. It's something" He kept going on with reasons like "it could be they don't listen and don't talk"

I love asking kids questions like that-cutest responses and sometimes they're just so right
