What little thing makes you smile?

--Making people laugh at my stupid jokes and stories.
--Babies / kids smiling at me. :)
--The energy in the air before a big storm.
--The sound of wind sighing in tree branches.
--The first smell of the air in my own house when I open the door after coming back from work.
--The first hug from a missed loved one.
--Falling leaves in autumn.
--The first June bugs of the year, because they let me know summer is just around the corner.
--The first buds on the trees.
--Whenever I see a cardinal or an egret, my favorite birds.
--My cats closing their eyes when I pet them. :)
--Seeing any clearly happy couple or family. Whenever I see one of these, I think of Hemingway's "The world is a fine place, and worth fighting for..."

I could go on and on...though I'm often a cynic, the world really can be a wonderful place.

At Christmas, I have a little tree with baubles that I put on my coffee table. When the sun shines through the window and hits the baubles, they reflect over the wall. That made me smile each time it happened.

almost brought a tear to my eye <3

When I have to call a phone company on the mainland and they wish me a "good evening" while its still early afternoon here :) hehehe

When my little students write me notes and letters , saying they enjoy
my classes and always want me to be happy=D makes me smile a fuckton.
Teaching is so rewarding. I love my job.

Sunny days
British/Aussie accents
The way my cat meows
Snapping an awsome picture
Yosemite Nat. Park (although thats not really "little")
Eating cream of wheat

oh i could go on forever!

^Cream of Wheat is a hot cereal- sort of like oatmeal but made of wheat and its like a thin paste almost.....(i'm trying my best to describe it :))

Thiz-
I lived in Yosemite for 4 years when I was younger- do you live near there???
The memories of there always make me smile too.

More things that make me smile:
-my new sewing machine
-fuzzy buttons speak
-when my husbands hair is pulled back but messed up a little and he looks hot:) hahah
i can't keep from smiling like a cheeseball.
-crazy weather
-chubby babies

n3o - hmm its sort of a porridge and like ocean said, kind of like oatmeal but a paste.(personally i like it to be lumpy but at the same time watery haha)
Its hard to describe :P

ocean - oh man i wish i lived there! Im actually out in LA. I hope to actually live up there sometime in the near future as it is one of my favorite places to be. I might work up there and get to live with the workers like most do maybe for a summer and see how it goes (if they even hire me.)

When I make someone laugh (genuinely)... like not one of those fake laughs people do.

Also, coming home to my laptop and just laying in bed surfing the web, listening to music.

^^haha yeah my neighbor's kids:

little boy: "You're driving me nuts Auntie Ali!"

little girl (after me telling her she needed to go home) "Then you're not allowed to come to our house anymore!"

^The fatter the baby the better. Thin babies just creep me out.
God I looove babies!!! I love my niece! She makes me smile so much.
