What little thing makes you smile?

seeing dude pacing, on their cell phone. body language indicating he's trying to patch things up with his lady.

seeing the same motorcycle-cop that gave me a ticket a few months ago, perched on the same freeway on-ramp . we made i contact and i couldn't help but flash a shit eating grin.
Yes! I saw something that had me grinning like an idiot all day last week.

I was walking along southbank (Melbourne) and there was a busker playing music. It was a busy day and the place was swarming with people in a rush, going about their business. But in front of him, in the middle of this huge pavillion, was a little girl in a red dress dancing - spinning from side to side of the pavillion, jumping, waving her arms around - all with a huge smile on her face. It was just fantastic, this flash of red with her huge smile on her face so joyful amongst all these businesspeople dressed in grey.

I really wanted to video her but I thought that would probably seem a little creepy.
that could of been an awesome video. a sea of grey people walking by with their heads down, contrasted by beautiful music and happy young people dancing around. :) I know how you mean tho, I feel awkward just trying to snap an artsy shot that includes random people, video is a whole step up..
YES!! And also, when people are singing in public. Not like, fully going for it loud in-your-face singing. But just walking along, maybe browsing some shops, quietly singing to themselves. I like that
Haha, I'm always humming guitar rythms without even realizing it. People probably think I'm a fruit.:D

Ok, you guys are probably sick of hearing about things my cat does that make me smile but I'm going to tell you more anyway. :p

This morning she woke me up by hopping on the bed and chasing her tail around for about 20 minutes. I hate being woken up but that just made me giggle and smile, an excellent way to start out the day! :)

^^ aw man, that would make anyone smile. where did you leave to (if you don't mind)?

what makes me smile...
getting my drum kit re-skinned and tuned. you have no idea how happy this makes me..
Im sure fellow musicians will agree, righttt?
I left to a place north east of Fallujah Iraq... around the city of Karma, about smack dab in the middle of the sunni triangle...

Ice Cream.
Almost anythign cats do.
Traffic lights that turn green just as I approach.
An open register with no customers at the supermarket.
Being tired enough to fall asleep.
Discovering new and fascinating art.
Hearing a great new song.
Hitting a perfect racquetball shot that makes a satisfying cracking sound as it hits the bottom of the wall.

! how can you hate ice cream!? One of my favorite things is ice cram topped with... more ice cream!

Though, I have an insatiable sweet tooth. I love candy and sweets. I add Vanilla Frosting to already frosted cookies. I often just eat the frosting right out of the can. I like to dip fruit in it.

Krispy Kreme donuts... MMMMMMMMm Yummy!!! Why is it that all the foods that are so tasty and satisfying are so bad for us?

I have no idea, I just am not that keen on it. Lol but it comes and goes, i go through food phases. I'll probably get over this one after my gum surgery on tuesday, when all i can eat for a few days is ice cream lol.

Almost anything cats do.
Being tired enough to fall asleep.
Hearing a great new song.

Perfect :)

Especially the one about sleep, I am really struggling to sleep these days due to work stress. I have slept about 3 hours TOTAL in the last 3 nights :(
Looking forward to some chemical-induced sleep tonight though! That makes me smile :) <3

When that crushing depression starts to lift and you get motivated in life. First time in months i been happy :D

I myself love the sound of tennis balls hitting the racket, and especially the sound of a squash ball hitting the walls! THWACK! It's sooo therapeutic and I love hearing it. I miss playing squash. <3

The things I encounter and LOVE thread

There might already be a thread like this, and if there is feel free to merge. I want to make this as a supplement to the pet peeve thread. :)

Today I was biking on a particularly annoying route when one of my random elderly stranger neighbors waved at me from his porch. I love things like that. It totally makes me happy and relieved me of all my negative feelings toward the ride prior to that point. :) :)
