What is your food staple?

Coffee, soymilk, whole milk yoghurt, nuts and dried fruit, black beans, chickpeas, kale, collards, garlic, onion

12 eggs a day keeps the doctor away =)

I am including drinks-I think they should count;)
Dairy- milk and cheese are huge in our house.....
Dr. Udo's Wholesome Fast Food mixed in water.
WATER! Coffee (alot of coffee)
We love carrots, green beans, bok choy, bell peppers and onions.
Fish-Sushi-my husband LOVES sashimi and I love the rolls.
Chocolate.
We eat a pretty big variety of food.....we love good food- but the above is what we eat most.

I rep teh whole grainz all the way. Feeling better ever since eating several servings a day. Brown rice, barley, oats, wheat groats, etc.... Not the coolest or most hip of foods but they do a body good.

That and chocolate, usually in it's uncooked form....

and water, as well as coffee and tea, with heavy creams and sugars...

Fruit too... several apples a day if possible and bananas when I need more fuel.

Next week it might be something different, but I'm a believer in natural grain and seed (and bean and lentil) foods despite doing 'low-carb' cycles from time to time. They clean me out, fuel my muscles, and keep me feeling chill.

I wish greens were part of my food staple these days because that would probably be healthier for me, but I don't have them daily like I should.

Yes there are green foods in it- let me get the bottle.....alfalfa-broccli-kelp-spirulina-
It tastes like- flax and almond with a slight sweetness from the stevia. We love the taste of it. Its very earthy.....But yummy. Its got everything in it. The Udo's Green Blend is awesome though if you are just looking for green foods......

Yum Dtergent...I havent had mung beans in ages. Thanks for reminding me, Im going to hie off to the supermarket soon. I miss mung been soup with malunggay !

Nice. That's the flavor profile I was hoping for. I might need to supplement with something like that.

Refritos and cheese wrapped in those low-carb tortilla wraps that are mostly made of oat fiber. I eat a couple for a meal 5 or 6 times per week.

Now that I'm brewing my own, kefir will be my primary staple I think.

I tend to eat alot of toast with beans, chilli con carne, spaghetti etc Also, eat pasta, mild curries and my fave CHINESE!! Pretty unhealthy I know but I do throw an apple in there every now and again!

I just had some last night with alugbati leaves :)

I'm trying to cut down on my rice for the first time in my life. It's because, reading a manual with pig info, I chanced upon a recommendation to feed free-range ones lots of grain before selling them, so their fat can harden and make good bacon. I reckon I have some hardened fat on my thighs... Not a lot, but worth an experiment :)

Almost every day I eat bananas, almonds, eggs, honey, whole wheat bread, whey protein powder, creatine, sharp cheddar cheese, crystallized ginger, kale (preferred, but sometimes other greens instead), veggie burgers, garlic, fish oil, brown rice and black beans.

Plus tons of water. I used to eat hummus daily but got sick of it after a while. Tragic, I tell you.

Edit: post #420 fuck yeah :D

Nice. Maybe you could try unpolished brown or red rice, or the really wild rice (i love eating that, its so good and you really have to chew!) I'm sure you know where to get the good stuff (saw some in the Salcedo market but it was grossly overpriced...my tita used to sell some for 10% of the price!)

Hmmmm...

Milk and eggs are my current staples. I eat a few hard boiled eggs and drink a glass or two of 2% milk every day.

I definately eat chocolate every single day-that goes without a doubt

The other most frequented foods that come up in my diet are things grown in my yard, neighbors yard, or clients gardens (that we build for them and they often repay us with food :))

-LOTS of tomatoes (the sweet cherry ones are my favorite!!)
-Eggplant
-Snow peas, green beans, etc (most eaten as snacks)
-Turnips and/or Daikon (lots of soups)
-Large variety of lettuce; Kale, swiss chard, mezula, etc (also good for soups and snacks)
-Mangos and Avocados when they are in season (my favorite season of course!)
-Large variety of citrus, Jumbons (japanese grapefruit-a little bit sweeter), tangerines, different types of oranges
-Strawberries!
-"Sugar Apple" I'm not sure what its really called, its a filipino fruit that is really sweet, it grows in my neighbors yard I'm the only one who likes it so I eat choke of it

I almost always start my day with some fresh fruit juice and/or yogurt with fruit. I LOVE yogurt!!

I also drink a lot of milk, but am seriously considering cutting back.

Everything other meal throughout my day varies.

**I can't wait for my father-in-law's garden to pop off-he's got the jalapenos!!!!

LoveAlways: I thought tomatoes don't grow well in Hawaii? Sounds like a tasty diet and awesome line of work though :)
