Yes! And it tastes and smells so flowery and yummy!
When I was in college I had a friend from Syria who always had opium and hashish he'd brought from home (it was a LOT easier in the late 70s & early 80s). We'd smear opium on chunks of hash and smoke the mixture-- usually on a pin, under a glass. Delightful high and the best-tasting smoke ever! Nothing I've smoked before or since can come close to matching its unique dreaminess and deliciousness. Wow.

I miss that!
 
Faves H and Oxycodone, but if I went back on H I'd immediately ruin my life.

Opium poppies are a wonderful feeling and that duration is both a blessing and a curse. You could knock yourself the fuck out for days with that shit. Fent scares the hell out of me, that respiratory depression was no joke. I don't think I've ever successfully dosed highly enough of dihydrocodeine to compare it to codeine but codeine is quite nice.

Morphine and tramadol I never really cared for. Wouldn't say no to them if offered of course but wouldn't be my preference. Bupe was pretty great, I have mad respect for it as a recovery drug. Same for kratom though I appreciate that can be a problem for some.

I've always wanted to try Oxymorphone, Hydrocodone and Hydromorphone but never had the opportunity.
 
Heroin. Though I haven't had Opana in a fucking while so it's hard to compare. I also haven't had enough Dilaudid, though I was surprised how STRONG 2mg IV'd was when I was in the hospital, even with a tolerance.

Hydros were nice when I was an opiate infant but they don't even affect me now. Even if I ate a bunch the feeling would be lost on me. I do recall feeling absolutely grand on old Vicodin pills, I'd mash them up and throw in a shot of whiskey, twas the best. Eventually I'd fall asleep and have the most grand, serene dreams with a tinge of lucidity.

I hear that. Unfortunately hydros do zilch for me now. Tolerance is a bitch.

Never tried raw opium. Morphine (ms contin) is my favorite opiate. Despite being a bit stronger, Oxy (oxycontin) would be my 2nd choice. It just doesn't scratch that itch quite as well as morphine. Heroin would be great if it wasn't so short-lived.
 
I'd like to try some of these new ones, or at least stock up while they're cheap, but some of them sound like they're dangerous with repeated use.

Especially IV.

Still it'd be a heck of a thing to have on hand in case of some kind of natural disaster or zombie outbreak.

I'm kind of a survivalist so I think about shit like stocking up on essential medications like pain killers.

I can identify with the prepper mindset myself. It also doesn't hurt to learn how to grow things like cannabis or papaver somniferum (and of course other herbs, fruits, veggies, etc.)
 
Luckily papaver somniferum is easy to grow. Unluckily it's hard to grow enough and harvest it all properly without thieves finding it or the law.

I wouldn't mind having a few thousand doses of an opioid on hand in case of some kind of apocalypse.
