What is your current supplement regimen and why you use them

I've never really taken care of my body very much till now so I just went out and bought my first supplements today.

Bought these at Walmart:

Fish Oil 1200mg (Nature Made brand)
Milk Thistle 1000mg (Spring Valley brand)

Are these brands ok? They didn't have much selection there. How do you know which brands are better than others?

I still need to go buy some Gingko Biloba, 5-htp, and possibly some Piracetam. Can you recommend me some good brands?

What other good supplements do you recommend for healthy brain function, attention, memory, intelligence? I've been feeling tired
all the time lately and not wanting to do anything. I'm hoping the 5-htp will help with that.

Also, Is Trader Darwin a pretty good brand to use?

Yes, those brands are more than fine...Wal-mart is actually a good place to get your supplements...

Also, you picked wisely with the fishoil and milk thistle...make sure to throw in a multivitamin/mineral complex...Piracetam is also a great placebo substance but it takes about a month to be effective IME.

adderalls 60 mg per diem

klonopin 2mg at nite.

DHEA, SAM-E, Soy/grain Lethichen, Alpha-Liponic-Acid and other free rad. scavengers. DL-Phenelaylanine, Kava extract, sublingual B vit Complex, Amino-Acid shake. I also take N20, piracetam, hydergene and other cool stuff sometimes.

Not trying to preach but be careful with the speed/benzo cocktail...I had 3 seizures in a rehab when I was forced by the courts to get off of them.

You've been taking these specific supps for a while now eh? Ever cycle off of them for a week or two so they become effective again?

does creatine make you bloated...I stopped taking it post workout because of the water retention and stretchmarks...

I'm down the a protein blend, glutamine, and a pre workout NO supplement with creatine in it for my workouts....

ZMA and fishoil before bed....multi, glucosamine + chondroitan, b vitamins, green tea extract, digestive enzymes throughout the day

nope I take them every day. Creatine I've taken nearly every day for ~3 yrs. The bloating is actually if you don't drink enough water in my experience. If you properly hydrate you don't bloat. They remain effective. I don't believe it is necessary to cycle nutrients like amino acids. Your body does not produce these things, it uses them. Do you cycle off food? You don't need to cycle anything your body doesn't down regulate. Every day I take that stuff pre-workout and it feels exactly the same to me. I get a rush of energy, focus, and motivation and a fantastic pump / workout for the following 90 minutes. It's like clockwork and my body seems to have become attuned to it.

I was concerned that putting that much stuff in me could be bad but I went to the doctor last year and had full blood work, kidney analysis, CTscan, and a bunch of other tests run and everything came up perfectly fine. My kidneys were the part I was most worried about but they came back totally normal. All the things I take except the caffeine are simply amino acids and vitamins/minerals so I don't see anything to worry about. I've never taken anything else (ie, prohormones) so I think this stuff is pretty safe.

Melatonin I stop taking for a few days here and there because its a hormone and sleep quality actually seems superior if you don't take it every night (like 2/3 nights seems about right).

Thanx for the advice. The other nite my calf tightened up soo soo much I had to walk like a mile for it to loosen up. Been on / off this stuff for awhile. I never overdue it with the benzo's - perhaps the adderall. I can take like 100mg a day if I feel like it.

ALCAR increased my alertness somewhat, seemed like it potentiated caffeine to an extent, and seemed to help me lose a bit of fat. The first time that I started taking it, back when I was still in uni and I could obtain it easily here, I found that it made 'tired' and 'hungry' feel different. Not that I didn't feel tired or hungry, but they felt less urgent and somehow more mellow. I didn't notice this effect as much the second time around, but by then I was eating 6 times a day so I rarely felt hungry anyway.

I also really like ALCAR and take it on a daily basis...

I've been taking:

Creatine 10g- so I can get extra ripped (hopefully)

5-htp 100mg- just because I have it laying around. I don't know if it really makes a difference but it doesn't hurt.

omega 3 fish oil 1000mg- because I very rarely eat fish.

novedex Xt (it's got a bunch of stuff in it) but 2-4 pills day. I guess it's an anti-aromatase, and coverts your bodies estrogen to testosterone. And could possible make me test positive for steroids, which is pretty funny to me for some reason. It probably isn't the least bit healthy for me but i'm only taking this for a month or two so I can hopefully get extra ripped for the summer. I gotta say I definitely feel extra pumped up after taking this stuff. I've been lifting weights for 2-3 months and since taking this stuff I definitely feel a new intensity, after i finish some reps i feel like i'm raging (much more than normal). I like it, its a huge rush, I feel extra powerful.

whey protein shake- once or twice a day. fuel for my muscles.

Novadex by Gaspari is a wonderful product..make sure to run 2 bottles of it..It takes a good month to really see the effects

caffeine (coffee in am, sometimes red bull before runs)
glucosamine/chondroitin for knees
ibuprofen post-workout for recovery/reduced inflammation
generic multi-vitamin

decided my "body" needs more attention than my "mind"

therefore I am adding SAM-E (As oppssed to 5htp)
more magnesium
Alpha-linponic-acid
Glucosamine + Chondroitin
Creatine + Protein (loads of protein shakes, the cheap but effective kind from walmart) which
come with a good supply of ess. and non-essential amino acids.
DHEA 50mg per day (going to start 19-nor-diol soon)
And I also take Ibuprofen daily

my goals are to shed 5 more pounds, and then start the pro-hormone and get ripped. I've already lost 15 lbs, I was a little chubby though. I also take 30-60 mgs of adderall daily which has a huge impact on all these sort of processes

Good luck reaching those goals on amphetamine salts 8)...Not bashing, just saying that I don't know of a more catabolic substance than adderal.

I think it has certain positive aspects for working out. . I started getting in shape when I started the adderalls in high school, but I realized they were not good for doing cardio really. yeah they constrict your blood vessles but thats what N02 is for

Don't get me wrong..One of my favorite things to do was take 200mgs of Adderal and lift weights..Biggest rush ever, but DAILY Adderal just destroys muscle...

If you use it sparingly, it could be extremely useful.

What do you guys think about the GNC Mega Men's multivitamin? Is it worth it to pay the extra money on a mulitvitamin like that? Is it a good multivitamin or are there better ones out there that you guys can recommend me? thanks.

^Thats a good multi. I've used NOW food's "ADAM superior man" multi for ages and thats pretty good too. Currently using myprotein.co.uk's "ALPHA Male" multi which is also excelent.

I'd go for a more complete multi than centrum or any of the big/supermarket brands
