my befroom, jesus christ its the sort of room wher eht eorange juice has mold growing on it, and i allow the mice in my room to live there plus crickets/locusts always escape the lizards ;(

The girl I'm seeing is kinda o.c.d. and she came over last night and I made her dinner and afterward she cleaned ALL of my dishes. I told her I would get around to it but apparently "I don't do it right" :\:D

Haha that's pretty cute of her to do that though :)

When my partner and I first started seeing each other, he was living with his sister and brother-in-law, who are 2 of the messiest, laziest people I've ever met!! (lovely people though :))
Their bathroom was so hideous, one day when they were all at work and I was there alone, I took the liberty of cleaning the whole bathroom from top to bottom. Ohhh man it was ever so satisfying! =D

right now, it's the entire house. i need to do dishes, i need to do laundry, i need to sweep/mop/vacuum every floor, i need to change the sheets, i need to organize my 2nd bedroom (aka art supply storage closet), i need to take the recycling to the center, i need to get all of the empty cartons out of the fridge, etc etc.

but i've been working 40 or so hours while in school full time for the past couple of weeks, so i just haven't had the time or motivation to clean up - all my extra time is spent sleeping, showering, or doing homework.
but for how busy i am, my boyfriend sure doesn't do much to help.

HOWEVER, in general, it's my living room (what i voted), because it's the most central room in the house where i'll do everything from 4 hours long art project endeavors to eating dinner to sex to drinking shennanigans with my friends. plus, my boyfriend and i hate continuing to wear work clothes after work so we usually ditch those and throw them on the chair as soon as we get in the door.

I had a roommate like that... she was a neat freak and I wasn't allowed to do any of the dishes, vacucm, sweep, or even clean the bathroom because she was convinced I would do it incorrectly... it was wonderful =D

She also organzied my room/closet and did my laundry which was nice, but she got a little too crazy for me when she started using her label maker to desognate spots for my phone/chargers/laptop/make up... 8o

Doing dishes by hand doesn't bother me. We don't have a dishwasher at home and I find when I go to other peoples who do - the piles and piles of dishes left waiting so there's enough to fill the machine annoy me for some strange reason. :|:\

What I really hate cleaning is the bathroom and in paticular the toilet - yuck :(8o

Maybe this would all be easier if I lived alone, but I share my home with my 2 adult (read still act like 12 year olds regarding home responsibilities) sons who are so stroppy. Cleaning is the one thing we all argue about almost on a daily basis :!

I sometimes fantasise of coming home and finding the place they way I left it - never happens.

My soon-to-be-ex-husband's bathroom.

He's a fucking pig in that thing. I don't understand how he can get so sparkly in that shit hole.

my garage is the dirtiest, but i vote office/spare room, cuz i consider the garage more outdoors than indoors. the litter boxes are in the office, and it gets insanely dusty as a result. plus, it just basically serves as a litterbox room, and i suck at keeping it clean.

Some of the top five most terrifying places I've ever seen are bathrooms that are taken care of entirely by males.

It seems like being a guy in a bathroom would be easier to me, I dunno.

That sounds like heaven!!

I have a garage and a finished basement now so I am going to go with the laundry room (area between the garage and basement).

It is the only unfinished space in the house and it houses 3 litter boxes.

I don't like clutter so it makes it easier to keep the house neat. Never did get that cleaning person.

Who has professional cleaners come to their home? Does it allow your weekends to be time better spent?

I'll answer when I'm in my own place for awhile. ;D

In this house, it's a toss up between the bathroom and the mudroom, though the whole thing is getting pretty grimy.

bedroom. i don't have trouble keeping the rest of the place clean, but my bedroom gets neglected and i'm not all too sure why that is.
