What is a more potent opiate?

While an opioid naive person might not die from 16 mg suboxone (buprenorphine is a partial mu agonist, without the extraordinary respiratory depression of morphine), they would most certainly spend the next few days hovered over the toilet, puking, shivering and cursing life. Plus, would anyone really want to take compound on the chance that they might not die?
 
I thought that buprenorphine was a relatively safe opiate. Especially with the Naloxone in it too.

As Virtuoso said, the naloxone can't compete much with bupe which has a much higher affinity for the opiate receptors. See the last few posts in the Sub mega thread for some more info.
 
My "friend," who is prone to bullshit mind you, says an 8mg pill is enough for him to split with 2 other people. He takes 15-20 norcos a day consistenly for months and has a big tolerance so that should tell u the power of the shit.

Wait, so he's an oxycodone addict and he is taking bupe? Sounds like bullshit to me, if he's still addicted to the oxy then bupe is gonna put him in WD.

Hydrocodone, but yeah, bupe would precipitate withdrawals for up to 24 hours.

Also, if he is popping 15-20 norcos a day liver damage is going to happen pretty soon. Thats close to 8g of APAP a day.

johanneschimpo I admit some of the shit i say does not add up as im ADHD and scattered brain but NO WAY do I potentialy lie, and if you care which you probably don't i would like an apology because i pretty much laid my heart, and soul on these fourms for help, not to get dogged, but i know it going to come with the territory so if you don't then whatever.

sorry I am not opiate naive I don't have an opiate tollerance because I been clean from methadone for over a month now (if naive and tollerance don't mean the same thing im just picking up word i hear here)

Yes I threw out A TON of pills 300 maybe not so much maybe i was overexagerating it could of been more like 150-200 but i surley did not get out every pill and count them. I would get them every month and be scriped up to four big ones a day, and take less than half of one, and no at the time it did not do nothing for me, I was too used to either methadone which i took for pain or street herion which i was getting from the streets. I acutally ended up hating them because they excaberated my nausea so i stopped taking them and accuired a huge stockpile. I also had thousands of benzo's, and tons of trycylics antidepressants, and soma.

A lot was going through my mind when I was detoxing me being in trouble with the law, and I was having suicide thoughts strongly about taking them all, so instead of offing myself, I got the courage to just throw them away since I thought i would never be using a single pill again.

And just five days ago i was not taking suboxone, it was a month or so since I have taken one. five days ago i was going out of my mind trying to find an opiate alternative and kept on thinking back to my options and made a thread stating how much i thought suboxone sucked.

Fast forward until now. I found some suboxone that I did not throw away figured what the heck, i have nothing to loose crushed them up and snorted them and got a pretty noddy buzz. It also lightned my depression and social anxiety if you read my thread which is every post i ever wrote threaded all together by the mods i probably state that over and over again.

I am just saying how suprised i am that this stuff is really not junk, I thought it was just for dumb addicts to get clean and that it. But I am really reconsidering the benefits of it, and if I can help me not relaspe it would be a wonderful thing.

One more thing, as you are mod I respect your opinion, and sometimes I have my shortcomings and don't think before I post, but please don't call me a troll and liar. My step dad is a pathalogical liar and abused me, and now I hate liars with a passion.
 
i think what you said less is more, i have been doing alot today like 24 mg, and am actually starting to feel dysphoric again. this sucks.
 
Not to thread steal but, I do not do opiates everyday... I have never experienced withdrawals (luckily) I can still get high off just one or two roxis... the most I have ever done in one day is maybe 5 or 6 roxicodone (30 mg) in one day... would a sub feel good for me, or a waste of time? ( I am not going to a doctor, a friend of mine offered me some for free to try... I understand their true use and don't want to offend people, just curious if they would make me sick, or give me a decent high for free...)
 
^ No one can tell you if you will like it or not. My advice would be to start low and then work your way up to avoid having a bad experience.

This thread is stupid. 15mg of hydrocodone vs. 16mg buprenorphine??? I think anyone with a brain could answer this one. Plus, unless your on a maintaince program with buprenorphine, you would never take that much. 4mg would make some people nod. More isn't better with buprenorphine.

So lets see...hydrocodone = morphine on mg basis, and buprenorphine 20-30x morphine... :|

fuck that, I took 2 on my first time taking opiates, and I felt somewhat buzzed, and im 5'8 125lbs.
 
even being on suboxone at rehabs and maintance purposed many times I still never had an idea you could nod harder than hydrocodone on it..never. I thought it was the anti-abuse pill.

i still can not see some dealer rolling up saying all I have left is three hydocodone and one big orange subxone, and two addicts fighting over which one gets to buy the suboxone or not.

I think people know more about vicodin than suboxone. I dont understand how suboxone is anti-abusive. I know people who shoot it or take it to get high all the time. I dont think i know one person who has done suboxone sublingually.

If I do 6mg of suboxone, i nod hard. If i do even 40mg of hydrocodone, its a buzz. I dont get it.
 
I knew of a herion addict who would take his suboxone hours after he shot herion. He did this everyday. I just don't understand how it did not throw him into withdrawal each time. Because if it was me it would have I experienced precipated withdrawal first hand and they are not pretty.

I shot sububoxne with a antihistamine after taking lessons from jason crest (sp?) a while back. Most of had too high of tolerance did not work.

Also, while I was in the hospital my doctor gave me hundreds of pure bupe shots the ones that are already in a vile. I whined like a little bitch he must of gave me four at a time before and it did nothing, he even would follow up with a shot of benadryl.

I guess less is better I just snorted one of my last subs and don't feel it as hard as I did when I did yesterday. And whoever says snorting dumb..how do you deal with having to wait a half hours for that crap disolves and it tastes nasty, and when it gets down your throat you feel like barfing..eww.
 
You do not get HIGH when taking Suboxone. What the hell is wrong with kids these days. Try taking a point of raw, and dividing it into 3 piles, Do one at a time. If your not nodding out 2 minutes later, try another pile, or half that pile.

If you can still get high on Hydro's, why do you think you need suboxone?(I use to abuse Norco's 15-25/day for 3+ years, those w/d's are absolutely cakewalk/nothing/minor headache, compared to my 120mg OC/1g Raw per day IV habit w/d's) anti-social; it doesnt take a half hour to dissolve subs. 5-10 min tops, if you really cant handle the taste of suboxone tell your doc, see if you can get switched to Subutex, its lime. Little better, they only gave it to me once whilst on my Suboxone program(being an IV user, they wouldnt switch me)


Something about your story just doesnt add up.. Do you mind giving a little background on your opiate history? You said you were on methadone? And what and how long where you using before that. Who nods off bupe, I've never heard that in my entire life, BTW I was on my suboxone program for 6-8 months then I weened myself off them. Last I checked Subs where costing me around 3-5/pill, so in general, you threw away over $350 of meds.... I may sound like a jerk; but you/no-one gets high/nods off suboxone ( unless you have NO tolerance, in which I have no idea what it does, because I always had a problem when I was taking them.

If you have an opiate addiction(which you should to get ON subs in the first place)/ You HAVE to use your DOC every 6-12 hours before the fear/wd's set it, and bad. The only thing I've ever heard from the 30+ ppl I've known to take subs; is that Suboxone, STOPS/Prolongs you from w/d-ing, as well as, makes the mental crave just stop, and to all those people IVing subs; why? Isnt the naloxone only active if IVed? And arent those sugar-based pills? I mean they are flavored.

*** All in all, I'm very sorry, but you are very ignorant if you:

1. Get "high" off suboxone.
2. IV Suboxone
3. Take Suboxone Recreationally

Suboxone is a miracle drug, If you are seriously w/d-ing; ie shaking violently, pouring cold sweat, no appetite, restless regs, INTENSE craving, not able to move within 5 ft w/o seriously being ill about the entire manner

Buprenorphine is a mu partial agonist that posesses very high mu receptor binding properties. It really seems to be a YMMV thing. Impossible to say what the effect will be on different people. I mean, in it's Suboxone form, even the makers seem dense. They include an antagonist with a lower affinity so it does... nothing.

I suggest that buprenorphine may find application in treating severe intractable depression.
 
It's very hard to take a lethal overdose on buprenorphine alone. In every single case of lethal bupre overdose that I have heard of there has been either benzos or alcohol mixed with the b.

As hard as it is to overdose, if one does, naloxone wouldn't work to reverse it. That person would probably be shit-canned.
