what genre is big in your city?

Rapid City, South Dakota: umm..... top 40 pop/hip hop and country.

yay for me.

Happy Hardcore & Gabber are popular with the younger kids in Seattle.

Drum & Bass is more popular with the older teens, the 'club-rave' type of people.

Trance isn't to well listened around here, however - Kristy Hawkshaw (sp?) is coming in mid-November.

phoenix, arizona. alot of trance and house is what you can find at the few clubs around here. in the rave scene, hardcore and happy hardcore is really popular8(

my hometown of christchurch, new zealand is a drum n bass stronghold.
while here in melbourne is electrohouse central.

good thing i like both styles!

MONTREAL IS ELECTRO HOUSE /CLASH TOO. maybe some progressive house too

jazz for the dinosours

D&B is huge in the UK just not in his area most likely.:\

Cape Town, and its psytrance all the way... Couldn't ask for a beter scene than the one we have here. Parties every weekend during summer, al at really amazing outdoor venues!

in clubs it's mostly funky house and club dance, but some breaks and hardcore. i like grimy dnb, breaks and mc ing so my needs are catered for by The Opera House, a fucking great club i was flyering for a couple of days ago. saw andy c and roni size a week ago, and saw pendulum, dilinja and nikki blackmarket the week before.

is quite a big free party scene were i am
.techno, dirty house and hard trance are big within that, as well as dnb.

Denver/Boulder, CO - Denver has a pretty vibrant scene, primarily trance though. Lots of big name house/trance DJ's come through here with occasional psytrance and DNB on the side. My favorite club does occasionally have dnb in the basement but not frequently enough.

The smaller venues, including a 700 person basement in boulder, get some quality dnb a few times a year. That's it though :(

Thankfully I'm not jaded enough that I can't enjoy a big house or trance DJ!

i've noticed lately that dubstep seems to be amassing quite the following here in san francisco. i will admit that i too have caught the bug. i actually hope to see it really blow up here.

dubstep is actually getting a steady following around here as well (toronto), but it's nothing major...it's definately some of the best new tunes coming out that's for sure

adelaide, australia - house in the commercial scene, drum&bass otherwise
hard house & NRG used to be big but its fading

I dont like any of em . .boo :(

Breaks, Cheesey Vocal Crap... pretty much anything cheesey goes here in Tampa. The Breaks aren't even GOOD breaks.
