The deaths due to 2C-T-7 (im pretty sure as of yet there are no other 2C-T-x's to have killed anybody, but correct me if Im wrong) are thought to be because they were taken with MDMA, ephedrine or cocaine, all of which are stimulants, and I think the common consensus is that the fatalities were caused by 2C-T-7's MAOI properties...
Im not saying its impossible to die taking psychedelics, that would be silly, but in comparison to most recreational and pharmaceutical drugs, the majority of them have a huge margin of safety. I think the risk of death from most psychedelics is pretty low, even with things like 2C-E and the like, considering the number of research chemicals on the market in the past year, the amount of people using them, and even some of the reckless behavior using them, I think its a good sign that there have ONLY been a handful of fatalities. I think if you add them all up theres probably in the area of less than 20 deaths (just from scrounging around erowid, at the high end the number seems to be 16, at the low end 9, maybe when I have more time I'll go about and find a more accurate number) which is far from being "numerous" in my opinion.
the part that I was concerned with was the idea that mushrooms (which I too enjoy eating

) "have been linked to more suicides than acid". No offense to Magick kat, Im not picking on you or anything like that, I just have heard people say things like that often and I have no idea where they got that information.
And how do you define extremely safe? For example caffeine has a more dangerous effective dose/lethal dose ratio than LSD and psilocin, yet I would consider it to be a fairly safe drug. On the other hand alcohol has by some estimates, a ED/LD ratio worse than cocaine. And then theres the idea of psychological safety, I mean shit, most of life isn't "safe" from a psychological standpoint...lol sorry about the ranting style of my post, had a cup of coffee not too long ago...
