EMD What Electronic Music r YOU listenin' to? v. Watch your bass bins! I'm tellin' yah.

Some dark techno. Going to a rave tomorrow night on my own for the first time in god knows how long. It'll be good to bosh some MDMA and shake my ass for a few hours.

Still one of my most loved Techno sets I ever heard was by Richie Gee.
Techno when done dark & well cannot be beat imho, I live so close to the 2nd city of the UK & we have an event called HOG (House Of God) & some of the Techno they play there takes your face off.

@Bella Figura

Somehow I get the feeling you know this as well as I do, the first time I ever heard it was at 5.50am at that HOG event..............I'd say this is the most unique Techno track ever ( check the vocal / lyrics)

Thanks for sharing Zop, the vocals are hilarious :D believe it or not I actually know fuck all about most electronic music, mostly listen to obscure punk / alternative rock.

I'm into all kinds of music myself, everything from Aphex Twin-esque electronic right through to noise & Powerviolence (obscure & brutal sub-genre of punk)

Apartment 213 are a band I fucking LOVE sssssoooooo much, they do Powerviolence, Hardcore stuff & when I first found them the music hits like a hammer to the face, they are one of a very small few bands when I first heard them I was blown away by their stuff & have been a HUGE fan since.

Infest are my 2nd most loved punk / hardcore band I've ever come across.

They sound pretty brutal, almost like a more coherent Anal Cunt, but I'd say they were more metal sounding than punk to me (if i were to be splitting hairs as I have nothing to do today clearly)

I liked them more than Apartment 213, I love high energy music :) I'm into all sorts of music as well, but most of it is punk or punk inspired stuff. Or proto-punk.

Notable time points of interest on this mix are 22:15, 40:18, and 50:19. Glorious trance by one of Atlanta's finest disc jockeys ever, DJ Sikora. 1980's music samples on a Florida breakbeat platform. Upbeat, catchy, epic. Why don't they play this kind of stuff on the radio?
