lol i shower everyday right when i get home. i cant stand the smell myself.
And it keeps me in better shape than eating my face off at a resteraunt. chuck e cheese? man..howd you deal with all the annoying kids running around? =D

And yeah, im more worried about having a job i enjoy than just the money...i mean im outside all day, and im basically my own boss. stop and eat when i want, take a break, whatever. its not a bad deal

the money i make is because its a family owned garbage company, so they dont have to worry about state regulated pay, because the owner is a husband and wife.
but thanks guys..im glad its not gonna be a big factor. i mean id still keep the job, but its nice to know that its not an instant cock block haha

And pagey that sucks..at least you got a job though..economys pretty shitty :\
 
I was thinking with this company, you could get your CDL and in another year you could be driving the truck. There has got to be room for advancement. Do you guys have to empty client's trash cans or is like where I'm at where they only do wheely bins? It seems like if the bins are not lined up properly for the equipment, the trucks won't take it. God forbid, it's facing the wrong direction. Those guys must laugh when they pass by my house.
 
Nah what's nice is we have old trucks..so two guys ride on the back and we jump off and pick up everything by hand. So it takes longer and I get a nice 7 hour day. We got anything from bags laying out, to barrels to totes.

And yeah if I got my Cdl I could definitely apply for driver. I already got advanced week 2..they gave me my own route on Fridays because I was making good time. I also get Xmas bonus.. So I mean there's only room for improvement.

Also they give ransoms so it's a good incentive to stay clean.

I'm just happy I have a job, and I like it. I work with chill guys. The bosses even offer extra hours cleaning trucks for any week I dont get enough hours..can't complain besides a 4am start haha :D
 
Yeah waking up extra early is an adjustment. In my case it would be probably be getting my big sleep late in the afternoon to avoid the pressure of having to be up so early. But I'm a night person anyway. That sounds like a nice job and they are hard to come by it seems!
 
Absolutely not, Opium. What a person does for a living is just a detail, not a focal point. Besides, the position you hold now may improve in time. When I married my hubby many years ago, he was a factory worker making seven bucks an hour. My mother said I was marrying below my class, that he was a country bumpkin who'd never have anything, etc. Boy, was she wrong! Now he makes just about six figures a year, with full benefits. He takes care of me, too. Even after all this time. If I had judged him by his humble factory job and listened to my mother, I would've lost the best man in the world. So, take my advice girls, most of the time a guy's job pays the bills and doesn't define him.
 
Man ur making 10 an hr living in the mountains of PA.
Plus ur 17. I don't think girls will mind at all ur making 10 an hr at 17. Get money hell yeah.
I heard there's good money in the Oil industry out ur way. Hard work shows character. There will never be any shame in busting your ass doing whatever it takes to pay the bills.

as long as i can pay my phone bill and rent im happy. any spending money is a nice extra.
