What do you know about Berlin?

I've been there a few times on party weekends... My girlfriend is also from Berlin and we are both well into our tech. Watergate is the best club I have been to, then Bar 25 - try the new Bar 25 (I forget the name - much more german sounding) it is meant to be equally as good. The speed in Berlin is fucking awesome and will satisfy any need for ching and is alot cheaper. Good MD crystal and fucking nuts s-isomer ket to be found. They also serve MD punch in a back room of watergate on an almost weekly basis (chat up the deejays). My mate went to an afterparty with troxler and got seriously wonked off a few keys.
 
What I meant, and I think ptch understood, is just keep cool while queuing. And by that, Scots, Brits etc can get a bit loud, in a good way as also bad way, and is a no no. And sex also has nothing to do with it. I saw groups of girls getting turned away. You have to remember that about two years or so ago, Richie Hawtin and friends were kicked out of the club... I remember reading his tweets about the incident, really shattered his ego, but that is Berghain, everyone is equal, you will understand it in the club. If you have to learn any phrases, learn to understand who is playing tonight, and know how to answer that. And I said before, go late, very very late, 5-6 in the morning on Sunday.

Berghains worth the try but wouldnt worry too much about not getting in there. Just decided to torture myself and look up Tresor listings for 2 weeks time and its decent. Very decent actually. Friday - Mills 6hr set, Axis party, Blake Baxter, Vince Watson after Mills. Saturday - Ryan Davis and Delta Funktionen hosting the Tresor Room
 
I think drinks are fairly similar to UK cities but it depends where you go. If you go to a young/studenty area like Friedrichshain there are places to eat and drink that are cheap by most standards. But big clubs will cost more.

I don't think it's the rip off that London can be, for example. When I was there last we found a tiny bar/club in a disused industrial building with an open air cinema; everything seemed to be about 1 euro - cinema, beer and club entry. In London I've paid a fiver to get into a "squat party" then two or three quid for a can of lager....

It's in Germany. Beer by the bucket, sundry sausages, plenty prostutites and quite possibly many moustachioed men in lederhosen spanking each other. Had a big fence down the middle a while back the locals used to worship Hasslehoff at (and occasionally get shot by the neighbours). Lou Reed named possibly my fave album of his after it. That's about all I know of Berlin really.
 
Drinks around 6-7 Euros and a bottle of water 3 Euros in Berghain, 2 Euros in Watergate.

But have you been to Germany? Netherlands? UK? Sweden? Denmark? Norway? The best electronic music scenes you'll find in all of Europe, especially Germany and Netherlands. Sweden too. Drugs are aplenty.

Southern Europe is good for cocaine - like in Italy, Spain, and France. Great heroin too. But as far as club drugs and good opioids and benzos, northern Europe is where its at! You can find anything southern Europe too, but Germany, Netherlands, and Sweden just can't be beat.
 
i spent 5 days working there last march, other than it being fucking cold at that time of year, it was awesome. sic bars , beautiful girls, friendly people and jagermister on tap!, which iv never seen in the uk for some reason. i told myself i wouldnt try find weed but it found me on a few occasion, just people i started chatting to offering me a joint. but yea awesome city a bit pricey but no worse than amsterdam or london , have fun <3
 
I hope Our Cracky is having a good time over there and I really hope he makes it to the Berghain, he'll have a few funny stories off the back of that no doubt. Or tight lipped silence from being brutally sodomised to the distant thump of enormous techno.

If you imagine all the meat that goes into sausages, well.... then imagine the meat that doesn't go into sausages.... because it's..... not good meat. Then imagine liberally seasoning it to mask the flavour and whacking it into a length of pig's intestine. Yours to scoff from a polystyrene tray with fucked up wrongheaded eurochips and stinking khaki coloured curry sauce. Never forgive, never forget.
