What do you drive?

yeah, on trials-forum... =D

I haven't mentioned it before cos I'm not that interested in cars, and there's never been a car thread on here...but i must admit I've always found this project fascinating, and hilarious in equal measure...

I too can see that as a Yella car, Halo, from what you've said about your past and your dad anyway

this is about as classy as I get (ie not very), I'd love one of these. My mate used to have one when I was in 6th form back in 1990ish

Lovely little motor. Actually my mum had a bright yellow one of those when I was a kid. The windows are hard work though.

I imagine they're quite hard to get hold of now in decent nick.

My dad was more of a Jag man ha. I remember him having a Bentley for about a week when I was a nipper but I think there was something hooky about it haha. Hes more of a humble Volvo geezer now bless him.:)

The lady who runs a florist at the bottom of my street has one still, I see it there most mornings. Talk about stereotypical car drivers. She probably talks French too.
My first car (i.e. the car I was driven about in as a baby) was one of these:
That's ace! I'd love one of those. My mate painted his one up, it was orange. The suspension on it was like a SilverCross oldschool pram

I was slobbering over one of these today all leather interior and walnut veneer. Its a vintage Bentley.

I know it's not quite the same but my husband had one of these until he drove it into a bollard. It had leather interior and lots of walnut.

That was an expensive night. He wrote off the car, it got towed away with all his fishing gear in the boot and he ended up paying £500 for the bollard. He didn't get nicked for drink-driving though cos he ran away.*

*Edit - this was 1981 when DD was sort of acceptable.

You need a chauffeur or taxi kappa - give the driving malarkey up eh, it'll save lives on the road :p

Who said I was drink driving? I'm pretty sure I said that I got someone else to drive after I had been drinking and that I left a car that I had bought sitting on a forecourt rather than drive it home hungover?

What a tragedy Valkyrie. I'm not that into cars generally but thats a lovely looking beast.. is it an Aston Martin??

Yeah. Not too nice wrapped around a bollard though. Fuck! He must have been gutted Valkyrie.
He should have been but he wasn't bothered about much in those days. He used to write off cars on an almost weekly basis. He was more gutted about the cost of the bollard cos he was already paying £800 for a lamp post he flattened with a MkII Cortina.
