Since I'm supposed to be studying at the moment, I decided it would be a great time to clean out my closet and then generate discussion about concepts and issues I grappled with while cleaning out said closet on an internet forum. :D
I was cleaning out the "old schoolwork" section of my closet. As I was cleaning it out, I was making a series of piles:
A pile of things to throw out (folders, notebooks)
A pile for paper to throw out (lecture notes, etc)
A pile for subject outlines (these are also paper)
A pile for marked work (assignments, tests, essays)
A pile for interesting articles that I might want to go back to and read (mostly from the 2 philosophy electives I took in first year, but also interesting studies I've come across while studying psychology)
I was going to keep the subject outlines for some reason, but I decided that there's not much point, so I'm going to throw them out.
I'm only keeping the things that seem interesting and marked work. I'm also keeping my old school photos and my diaries / planners from each year of university. I didn't use the diaries to write my feelings or thoughts, I mainly just wrote what I had to do each day. But I thought it would be cool to have them, so if anyone asked me "what were you doing on the 23rd of June, 2007, I can say "well I had statistic assignment 3 due and then I went out and got drunk for Tom's birthday".
How do you do this kinda thing? What do you keep?
