What do you do for a living?

I own a night/dance club. Axis/Radius
I quit opiates and benzos so I do everything else I get my hands on. I still will take benzos, just no more access to them. No street dealers I know who sell it and not prescribed it anymore. I take amphetamines daily as well.
I have anxiety problems, ADD and bipolar so I self medicate for my problems and also just take for recreation.

Damn! Your club looks real nice!

Hey guy whose a millionare, you wanna sign a couple hip hop artists? Lol.

Currently unemployed. Been laid off for about 9 months now. I just started my 3rd year of college and about get my associates in IT. After this semester Im moving to a university somewhere to finish my bachelors in IT. Im also a hip hop artists and have been rhyming/writing/performing for about 6 years now. My 2nd album that we put our money into and got officially made is going to be released March 22nd, 2011. I must say although Im not where I want to be with it, I am definitely expanding my business a couple fold each year I do it. I love making music so that passion will never go away.

My family knows about my decade long path of fury. Its old news at this point and there is no tolerance from them for the addiction. They dont enable me and just want me to be healthy.

Good luck with whatever yall do in life.

i'm a professional muscian that plays guitar in a successful band with a seven figure contract and i work studio lead guitar for artists(some of the biggest names in music) for a large fee per hour.

to sum up how successful i am, i have: a beach house in Newport Beach, CA; three exotic cars(2000 Lamborgini Diablo, 1996 BMW 850ci, 2010 Mercedes CL65 AMG); millions of dollars in the bank; a trust fund from my parents(i get even more when they die; and whole bunch of other crap.

Maroon 5 doesnt even really have much lead guitar in it?

What do you mean local? You produce beats for local acts? I am a hip hop artist myself. Id be curious to hear some of your productions.

like im big locally...like in my state everyone knows who i am...and ive done some major label shit...

What state? Anyway, regardless, Im an artist who always is on the look out for beats. But yea, the people I make music with and myself are pretty well known around our area, but its slowly expanding.

I used to work in commercial flooring installations but the adhesives where killing my brain cells, imagine someone with a solvent/glue addiction and times that by 100, I was pouring our gallons of the shit everyday, high grade industrial contact adhesive, spreading it around with trowels, no face masks or breathing apparatus, I know stupid thing to do but hey what can I say, the money was great and I just hooked in and got the job done.

then fucked up my back, have been on insurance payments since the accident and have just gone back into my previous occupation of IT, website design and video editing.

I'm currently editing a tourism/education DVD for Australian tourism about the dinosaur footprints in the outback channel country of northern Australia, getting flown around national parks and taken to out of limits tribal lands by rangers and aboriginal elders to map and document major sites of paleontology and archeological interest and combining that with my personal research into traditional Australian aboriginal shamanic culture and ceremonies.

The Aboriginal "clever men" can manipulate time and space, can appear in two distant places at once, can curse, cure, and for tel the future, I am slowly building up a rapport with these elders but it is going to take a lot of time, patience, trust and commitment to be accepted and taught the secrets of this 80,000 year old magical culture.

combined with a serious pain management problem of high codine and opium use, benzo's acid, mushrooms, dmt, and mindfulness (examination of the self)

my 40's are turning out to be one of the most interesting and challenging personal times of my life so far.

And i started out 30 years ago as a lost kid backpacking around the world with no money, depressed, lost, lonely and suicidal, just goes to show that hanging in there and rage rage rage against the dying of the light can inject a new energy and lifeforce into existance
i have come from the depths of despair to a slow and steady climb back up to a level of personal happiness.

I'ts not always easy, but willpower and determination to not be beaten by life have carried me through.

Oh, and my fucking mad family back in the Uk have broken all contact with me (the black sheep of the family) and I haven't had any family support since I was 15.

But a good woman and a daughter I love have given me all the strength I needed to get through the toughest times.

Oh and I play a pretty mean guitar.

I'm also struggling to understand how this is BDD material.
I think it's a good thread and a great way to get discussion going and learn something interesting about our fellow Blers, I just don't think it belongs to be honest.

Do you have a family?
Not children, but yes I have family.
No

Are they aware of your drug use?
The people close to me(ie parents, siblings, close friends, and unfortunately even some people who I would rather not know) are well aware.

...Unemployed(to be more accurate not steadily employed) atm, to answer the original question.

I work for a federal police taskforce that was set up to monitor trends in global and local drug use. We also pretend to be drug users to infiltrate circles and then bust them.

The money is ok, but if you catch someone who has a bit of cash they can be 'compelled' to make a donation to my retirement fund.

I drink alot, for fun and to self medicate.

As for me im just an unemployed college student who very much enjoys experimenting with all drugs but usually stick to opiates weed and alcohol, usually at the same time.

As for money i usually resort to some type of hustle to get 5 10 bucks every nownthen.

I do have a family and i am lucky enough to have one that is very loving an supportive. I have always taken them for granted but as have aged i realize how much they truly do and sacrafice for me and i am most definately thankful.
