Yeah, I know what you are saying too, much like the word "sex" having a broad and variable meaning with people too. I just dislike imprecise language cause it makes me have to try and guess what someone is saying.
And significant other again, has an entanglement with pair-coupling, which, does not work for me cause I couple with more than one 'other' so it would make it hard to define who exactly the person was asking about/who I was talking about. I realize this not apply to most people, but it does apply to some people.
Besides, should we not try to use regular expressions within the confines of a context free grammar, as to make our parse tree simple and unambiguous? </UNIXnerd>
