my worklunch (lunch at work) is a heat pressed sammich i make every morning with brown/wholemeal bread, avocado, turkey breast, cheese, salami, pickles, anchoves and lettuce.

and my snack food can kick your dad's arse that's for sure.

That sandwich sounds delightful, but the jokes on you - my dad doesn't eat vegetables. He'd rather die from heart disease.

That sounds AMAZING dude! Minus the lettuce, that is. And avocado. Screw my allergy. :(
 
cooked lots of delicious healthy foods this weekend.

friday: baked chicken drumsticks, homemade tabbouleh, mixed greens
saturday: leftover tabbouleh with avocado hummus and black bean soup
sunday: homemade veggie stir fry with basmati rice, shiitake shrooms, carrots, celery, broccoli, ginger, and cashews. split a bar of super dark chocolate with my man for dessert.

plus about 3 rounds of SUPER JUICE throughout the wknd, mixed random fruits and veggies plus ginger for breakfast or lunch meal replacements

god i feel great today :) I am on a roll with cooking, Im gonna try and make some new recipes this week too. Keeping a wide variety of foods and colors in my diet is helping so so much with motivation and overall happiness! FOOD SHOULD TASTE AND FEEL GOOD!

not to mention my stomach feels fucking incredible!!! Finally got un-bloated from overconsumption of booze + rich foods over holiday break. feels nice to fit in my pants again, ha!
 
cheers, cotb and *ahem* grunge. i've had that exact lunch almost every work day for more than a year. not sick of it at all. :)
 
It does sound like a super awesome sandwich.

I just had grilled sheepshead (fish) that my BIL caught earlier today, sautéed winter veg (mushrooms, green beans, red pepper, onion, kale and some other stuff) and like one spoonful of macaroni and cheese. I declined the cornbread even though it looked great.

And I managed to down 120 ounces of water today. Got to get out of the soda habit. I feel good.
 
My girlfriend(ex I still live with) is a straight veggie who eats cheese and occasional eggs...

The chick-pea salad I always make for her

2 regular cans of chickpeas, drained

1 can ripe olives sliced

5-6 stalks of chopped celery

seeds from one pomegranate

one medium sweet onion chopped

extra virgin olive oil

cider vingar

Combine everything in a large salad bowl and add the cider vinegar, olive oil and salt and pepper to taste....

simple but very filling and good, lot's fiber...
