What did you do to get off your butt today? vs. "Butt's off the floor!"

AM: 3x6 for military press, back squats, pull ups
PM: 3 mile run

I think I am going to schedule a PT later this fall to see how my back is doing. I don't have as much pain in it as I used to, but it still makes loud popping and snapping noises. Boooooohoo.
 
First day back to the gym in a week. I like writing this all down.

Cardio- 20 min bike

Legs- 20 lunges with 5lb weights x 3, 20 squats x3, 15 plies with 5lb weights

Abs- 40 crunches, 20 bicycles, 20 side crunches, 1 min plank

We ran last night. A new chocolate shop/cafe has opened up along our running track - so it makes every run we do particularly SMUG as we go past all the chocolate nomming. ;)
 
yesterday: 40 minute fartlek

today: squats and military presses in the AM, extensive prehab and core circuits in the PM
 
i ran 4 miles this morning. i've been training for about 2 or 3 months for a half marathon on the 20th october. the longest i've run so far (in my life!) is 9 miles. it's getting easier.

i've been doing bootcamp (50 minutes, intensive combination of cardio and strength) 2 or 3 times a week and running 3 times a week.

And I would totally make pit-stops at the chocolate shop if that was the case.


Today was a light day since I was super sore from yesterday.

20 min bike.
40 crunches, 20 bicycles, 20 side crunches, 30 lower back things with 10lb weight.
 
nothing much today, last night I had muay thai and got some good punching work done, but received some hardcore kicks - I ache all over. More intense groundwork than last session, this was to end the day of isometrics, 5 Tibetan rites, and my usual squats, calf raises and shrugs.
 
Walked a few miles and stretched. Thats about all i can muster these days. Meh.

20 arm curls 5lbs x3, 20 tricep extensions 5lbs x3, 5 forward and lateral arm raises 5lbs x3
15 back thingys 10lbs x2

My arms are going to hurt tomorrow.

Abs- 1 min each x3- kick downs, v crunches, russian twists with 6lbs, plank, side plank.
Butt- all 20 x3 leg lift thingys, donkey kic.ks, glute bridges.
Legs- squats 20 x3, lunges with 5lbs 15 x3

Pretty sure the names I'm making up are unintelligible.
 
this was saturday but it was fun. went on a night hike under the (almost) full moon and barely needed headlamps it was so bright out. ran around like crazy playing with a couple friends in the forest and fields, the grassy california hills illuminated by the moonlight. hiked and climbed on rocks and trees and shit for a couple hours. Woke up SORE with bug bites and scratches all over my body but my god was it exhilarating :)
