Social what computer do you have?

Intel Rocket Lake Core i9-11900KF (Max Turbo 5.3GHz)
EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 12GB
G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB DDR4 Black 2X (32GB)
Lexar NM790 2TB M.2 NVMe Internal SSD
CVN B560 GAMING PRO V20 Motherboard

Thought about getting a 4K series, but thought that would've been overboard as I only play minimum games. Sticked with the 3080Ti.

Same old Lenovo laptops.
Like Timex
Online from cold boot in 15 secs.
If I have to prove it I guess I'll have to make a vid and all that shit so believe it or not. Lol

No you don't have to prove it. My wife has a modern 12th gen Intel Win11 computer that does the same thing.

So a repost question from the lounge by me:

Anyone happen to have music production experience, I shouldn't have a problem running an entry/mid-level DAW on an hp core i5 laptop with 8gb ram, bought new like 6 months ago.... should I? lol

I mean, I know I'm not running pro tools or anything like that, but say, fl studio or ableton?

As stated, HP Core i5 2.4ghz, iris Xe graphic, 8g ram, 256gb storage, windows 11 home.

Also worth noting, I'm speaking only of production, I wouldn't try to do any live mixing with this computer... but a little bedroom mixing, it should keep up okay, I'd think? 🤔

Thanks.

You might want more ram

Pieca shit HP windows 10 laptop from early 2020 that's about to snap in half because the hinge is coming off lmao. I have a brand new windows 11 laptop as backup, I'm just using this thing till its unusable.

Has always been a little decent though. 128GB SSD, HP Ryzen 3, Radeon Vega, 4 MB of ram, 64-bit. It's like above average, I guess? In terms of laptops at the time anyway. I hate both windows 10 and 11, but especially 11. 10 has already had compatibility issues with things like even DOSbox. I've 1:1 next to my XP done the same commands and DOSbox doesn't work on this laptop which is very weird. It's had a bad habit of popping/crackling noises too. It comes and goes

Chromebook burner laptop with no copy paste because I am a basic arse bitch lol.....Ironically the 4 core one or w/e is compromised with viruses/malware/keyloggers (on the same wifi network?) and the chromebook lives. (Or just doesn't notify me its dying idk)

either be a random laptop or computer, what's your system hardware and what's your main operating system & use?, if you'd like.

I bought my laptop with the intention to learn video editing on it but that kinda fell apart so my only computer is a MBP 16”,M1,10 core CPU,32 GB memory, 2 TB SSD,,,I still have it and keep it charged and use it a bit but not the reason it was purchased for,,I actually have a nice Alienware desktop that I stopped using after I stopped shooting with my Nikon,,,crazy how much $$$I have invested in gear that I no longer use…..

install dokan library

Right now I’m on a Lenovo Legion 5 with a Ryzen 7 and RTX 3060. Mostly use it for gaming and some light music production. Solid machine for the price!
